Don't you think you have too much oil at this point? It's not that you are not using many oil-consuming units...

7 hexes from Omsk, you should perform a mercy killing to end the suffering! With so many PPs and oil smart as you do to pump out high quality units (fighters especially, then the Allies will never get a foothold).

I really think we've got the oil right. Up until recently the Germans have only had 5 tank corps & 3 TAC bombers. Well, 4 if you count the Romania. I've been operating with an "energy" efficient or green force. :D

I agree. I was thinking of making a push for Omsk in the spring of 1944.

As you'll see in my next post I'm not sure if the Russians have run out of PP's or what ... :?

Example: if it were me, I'd forget about Tobruk and send all those high-quality units to somewhere they can be more useful. Why tie down a whole army for a fotress that's worth 1 PP? The bombers especially would be more useful elsewhere. I'd leave a couple corps by Tobruk just to act as a holding force. Station them each 2 hexes from Tobruk, one on either side. If Leeb moves to attack one, you can swoop in with the other and capture the fotress. More likely, Leeb will just sit there. Now you're holding a German mech for the price of 2 Allies corps, and it's not costing you any PP. Sounds like a good exchange to me.
What he said.

Why dont you buy yourself some time while you can by purchasing every leader that has a bonus attached to them - the defensive bonus's leaders go to crucial defensive points and the attacking ones go to the Armour and SS.

This saves manpower by beefing up the units and lets you spend your PP's in the right area

I don't know how the Allies can win this. You dominate the field pretty clearly. Well played!

There are only three German leaders left; Kleist (1-0-5), Arnim (0-0-4) & Kuchler (0-0-4). (att-def-leadership). I will likely buy them fairly soon.

I could just go 100% on the defensive and probably ensure a victory. However; I've never conquered Russia against a human opponent. So, I thought I go for the knockout blow in Russia. I should be able to hold France with the forces I have there and in the build queue. My only concern is manpower. By going for the knockout I will be forced to go below 50%. I hope I'm not being too greedy ... but how often does one get a chance to takeout Russia?

You will through him back with ease unless has some more FTR's in FOW. He doesn't have enough to use his TAC's to disrupt your counter attack.

He does FTR's in FOW, that makes more sense for the Allies.

He will get more ashore this turn but its hard to see how he make make forward progress.

Good luck!
