I have to be honest, in my games over the last few months, very very few units are rallying from routing. Most games are zero.

Just wanted to give a thumbs up 👍 to the two Epic tournaments running currently, about to end soon.
Although I also like the open format tournament where you choose your army units and deployment, I think it is very rewarding seeing exactly the same two armies' composition and deployment and how they are used differently by a player and his opponent. Also, it saves a lot of time during the first turn.
I hope we see more of these !

Cheers!

1) Track number of casualties (KIA + Wounded) in melee or by arrow fire, for each unit. (same for losses taken by any unit)
2) It would also be interesting to have also a counter of turns spent in combat, number of charges and so on...
3) A better army report, because when a unit is out of the battlefield, it is no more visible in the army list.
4) Eventually all this info could be put in a log file with a unique keyID (related to each battle), this could be an option to avoid any change in game interface. While multiplayer battle is not finished, the report will show only player stats ... at the end of the battle both player and opponent stats.

Thanks ! I think it would add lot of immersion and open new possibilities for custom tournament (expecially when there is a map and related battles)

Unique Hellenistic cataphract cavalry skin/texture . How to do it the" easy " way and remain relatively consistnt : keep the textures from the parthian cataphract ,the armoured animals , but mix parthian horsemen with hetairoi. Additionally ,optionally , mix helmets of both mentioned horsemen

1. Able to reduce size of combat log box. It takes up too much screen space.
2. Have an option to play a battle again (SP) instead of having to go to the main menu.
3. In the editor, it would be great to be able to filter units by the army list. For example, list the Seleucid 166 BC units, etc.
4. Highlighted units hiding in woodland during deployment phase.

There should be an option to continue playing until the end of the allotted 24 turns, ignoring the victory conditions. And speaking of turns, there should also be an option to preset the number of turns in any given game.

You can preset the number of turns. We had 30 I think in Asterix’s tournament..

If not for this iteration, then perhaps for the next. I would love to see detailed historical player statistics: how many games played, % of victories, preferred nation, most lethal unit across all my battles played, etc... Not just "stats", but stats porn.

It would be a great place to linger between battles, and I think the game would benefit from them. The battles are *awesome*, but without being recorded or tracked long-term, they can feel like they don’t quite matter.

I know this is super silly, but I think it would add to the game’s enjoyability and longevity.

If you join the TDC (sign-up period now) or World Team Championship then there are player stats recorded.

Yes, would be nice in the game itself.

In Advance Guard Scenario, the ability to choose only Cav and Lights as the first units arriving on the battlefield on both sides (before Reinforcements arrive).

Great scenario type btw.

Btw you can autodeploy additional units during Force selection but you can never deploy them manually (They stay in the lower part of the map). No big deal though.

More scenario types, if possible, would be on my wishlist.

that was my question ('if possible')

A campaign made of missions based on light/cav skirmishies to simulate the petite guerre could be fun.
I don't know whether it is historical for FoG/A.

I would love to see "Siege Battles" in the future. Surely new maps would need extra work to create interesting scenarios, but it would add a lot of freshness into the game.
No need to simulate catapults, just the final assault with the walls breached or specific points where ladders and exits are available, to allow for a range of tactics. There are also assaults like Constantinople with a variety of areas within the city that would allow for very dynamic engagements that are much more than just walls.

It would also help to link those assault battles in FoG Empires in sieges that can only be resolved automatically.

I agree. Maybe, if siege maps are difficult to create automatically to not result in dead-ends and non-reachable areas, the community could assist in creating a large number of maps that could be randomly drawn from.

I think I mentioned this before, but would it be hard to implement messaging in game while you are doing your turn? Basically, sending a message any time? It would make conversations potentially more dynamic; I myself often forget to reply or say something because I too quickly hit the end turn button, ha.

It might be nice if comments could be made during a turn that would play back while watching, so commentary could be made as the turn unfolded.
