This battle is over. The end result is a draw at 51 to 51%.
The Berber army took a defensive stance with a lot of Infantry at front, archers in second line and Cavalry in reserve, while the Khwarazmians tried their best to find an angle for their horse archers to attack. At first the fight was going well for the Khwarazmians and they broke some Spearmen and Skirmishers, but the enemies counterfire also started to take its toll. When the Berber Cavalry joined the fight, the right wing and large parts of the Khwarazmian center were routed. The rest of the game was a very messy and its hard to say, which side would have "won", if there had been more turns to play.

My spears basically served as pincushions until the Kwarazmians began running low on arrows. After that was bit by bit chipping away at the Kwarazmian's lead. Berber is a good army but they really need more bows when facing a horse army. Thanks for the very challenging game, Lennard. I am taking another break to focus on Storm of Arrows for a few weeks. Also I will be changing armies. This would be my second time playing as the Kwarazmians.
And here is some eye candy from the battle.

Doyle50 defeats gort7078 60-40. This was very much in the balance until the very end. Good game thanks!

This one ended quite a while ago and I forgot to post the results. After reviewing with my opponent we agreed it was about a 40-15 victory for me.

... The campaign would work great for 2 or 4 players, divided up into the two factions (1 or 2 in each faction). But...
... it requires committed and reliable players, who like the board game part with its rather complex or complicated rules as well as the FoG battle part.
(v0.98 of the rules now available in zipped format in post above.)

The rules aren't too complex. It only took me a few hours to read and understand. Granted, I've got some experience with board wargames, but this is about the same level as a light-medium complexity.
Plus with a teammate, some of the strategic planning and battle resolutions can be shared with them.

And the "workload".
Thus, ideally two more players than Rosedelio and me, so that we can get two players on each side.

Yes: welcome! Then we could use one more player so we're good to go.
