Thanks for giving me this. 4 Level Bombers! ! ! ! ! !
That is something Richard Martin would agree with, but they are so super expensive. I see myself, based on minimal research, 1t dealing with aggressive 1st attack, once eliminated avoiding the flanks on both sides of the map and simply moving fast towards the center to break them there, and then decide a strong force to the left and right to seize last 2 objectives. The goal is to avoid the excess trigger marks so I can deal with the enemy when and how I am ready..
Thanks again for the feedback. i will not be ready this weekend, but will prepare to hopefully give her a go hopefully by the following weekend.
a] 4 Tactical and 4 Level Bombers: yes they are devastating! two shots on each target and then boom
b] regarding your thought of moving fast towards the center: check the map, it is all about hills and forests in the center, it will take some time to move through them.
d] that is why I propose to deal with west forces and then a left flank and rear attack to Olkhovatka
e] in any case you need the closest airport on the west
Below a map plan proposal, of course you will find what is the best to do, after play testing the map.
My ideas are only observational from map layout, no combat exp in this area

This is what I was hoping for. What is the stars on your map there for? I have to worry about a minor counter attack on the Main Objective in the East, the 1st 2 or 3 turns should be all that is needed to wrap up, and then I was going for the center with those troops.
Based on your layout I hear you stating make a play for the West with a majority of forces and then move for all the rest with paradrop on final spot in the East? Right? They don't have enough units around that area to make that impossible?

In Zhernovets they have some units to the south, paradrops will need some help by air as well.
The stars are cities that trigger events,
The ones in the east trigger the big cycle area on the east
The one on the main objective in the center, trigger an attack from the South,
That is why I put a yellow line, which means defense line area

I'm playing on a fairly easy setting where I don't have to get everything just right to win. These 43 guides have been really good. I must have played 43 East about 20 times in total, and found new methods for Belorusk, Orel, and Oboyan that I hadn't thought of before. I haven't even tried for DV with Oboyan for ages, and just managed a last-turn (almost last-move) DV. I've just about finished clearing the armouries today and will see how I get on with Prokhorovka tomorrow.
Your approach looks more sophisticated then my usual smash up the centre, which often does't work that well, and will certainly contrast with the time I completey forgot about the SE deployment zone until Turn 1, when I noticed it was a bit empty there. Not one of my best attempts. Great stuff, very informative and clear.

Congrats for the DV, especially the last turn ones stay in memory for long
Im very happy you find it some how useful, all this play through is about a never ending game approach, offering ideas to replay the maps and still have fun
Soon I will start GC 44 manstein
Let me know how is going Prokhorovka

You know the screen shot where you show the bridge engineers left to guard the city south east of Prokhorovka? If I'd remembered to do that I would have got a final-turn DV, instead of watching a tank unit rolling in on the final turn and thinking 'Ah....'.

Yes

remember If this happens is unfortunate, you can replay the last turns, you can also try to hit the enemy unit, before it enters with a Stuka so to delay its action, or send a paratrooper drop if available
