Division 1 Regular

Aetius39 (Romano-Brits) defeats Delbruck (Greeks) 68-44

Tough grinding game that required a bit of luck and could have easily gone the other way. Brits found themselves in bad terrain with nowhere to go, so they decided to wrap around a large hill in the left-center of the map, hoping the Greek pikes would take a while to catch up to the mediums guarding around it. That kind of worked, but several units were facing enemy on higher ground. A flanking maneuver was attempted, but some good luck helped even more. All in all, several key units broke which helped the pretty blah sub-Roman units to envelope and flank. GG!

*****On another note, I noticed when this game ended, and I reviewed it, the game was strange. It had all the messages I sent as "delbruck" and ones he sent as "aetius". Also, it said I lost as the Greeks; I was the British. This game, and my last 2 games, are the same like this. Does anyone know why/has had this happen to them? Let me know please.^^

Division 1 Regular

Aetius39 (Greeks) defeats random27 (Macedonians) 44-15

The Greeks managed to take and hold a fairly large hill while trying to utilize their strength in numbers. The combination of those two things made it difficult for the Macedonians to use their pikes well. I still think they would have probably gotten the upper hand, even with the hill, but luckily for the Greeks they got a few key disruptions that led to breaks; after that the outnumbered pikes were flanked and routed. GG and thanks for playing!

Attention all players! This is the 2nd time I have experienced this new "game bug" where you have a victory, but on final screen says your army was defeated. I was told this is an error in the new FOG2 update that was released.

Mirror Game Division 1

Aetius39 (Cimmerians) defeats Captainwaltersavage (Macedonians) 61-44

I honestly thought I was not going to win this early on, but I got some good chances/great luck in fairly large amounts later in the game, and things turned around. In both of these games I noticed the pikes are pretty useless against all-cavalry armies, and Macedonia seems to be quite vulnerable to the Cimmerian archers. GG Captain, you played well!

Mirror Game Division 1

1. Deeter (Thracians) defeats Aetius39 (Romans) 61-47

Romans foolishly charged the Thracians and it wasn't until they were looking up a hill at them, that they realized they were outnumbered and vulnerable in their right flank.^^ Deeter did a great job teaching a lesson in not to make mistakes like
that. Even though the Romans had stronger units on average, the Thracians managed to send most fleeing back to Italy. GG and great job Deeter!

2. Aetius39 (Thracians) defeats Deeter (Romans) 76-39

Now many people often say the score didn't show the actual game, and OH MAN is that true here. We were pretty much tied 34-34 with ONLY 2 turns left in the game. Speaking of the game, it was quite tense, with a lot of positioning and trying to wear down the enemy. With only a few turns left, the Thracians said "whatever" and went for the Romans in a last charge. It worked, a bit too well. A few disrupted and fragged units set off a chain reaction and just decimated the Roman line. Deeter played the Romans well, and it was a lot of bad luck/chance at the end that gave this score. Fun and strategic game until the crazy ending!
