Hypoxia Marches :?:

A new army is said to be massing on the Hypoxian border with Revoltus. Sources say that the king's generals received scrolls from an annoymous 'admirer'. The scrolls depict a slave revolt led by an ex-gladiator called Alanicus.

New Trading Card Game

In the Barren Cliffs they have invented a new TCG where player A takes a city from player B, A then gives it to player C, who in turn gives it back to player B. I doubt it will catch on unless money was involved.

Shock Defeat for Kappadokia

The ever-victorious Kappadokian army, whilst invading Haik, were defeated by the Arrakians. Asked the secret of his success the King of Arrakis said 'one merely had to darken the sky with 5s & 6s'

Barbarians Roam Home

A horde of unruly Barbarians are rushing to settle in the plentiful lands of Crimea, said to be their ancestoral homelands. The King of Kings failed to cap immigration levels apparently.

Parthia shall be avenged!

The Phanagorians cannot allow Morbious to go unpunished for the destruction of the gallant Parthian dynasty. The Phanagorians call the Morbians forth to enjoy higher morbidity in their already depleted ranks. Challenge posted, password "morbid".

Yesterday, the battle for Sakastan reached it's epic climax. The Parthian army, battered and bruised - but not broken, retreated to the safety of the city walls, while the might of Morbious was left to ponder the challenge that faced them. Undaunted the Morbians began to plunder the local forest and construct the ladders and rams that would be needed to force entry to the Parthian capital.

As dawn broke this morning the battle for the city began. Wave after wave of Morbians broke against the walls, while the Parthians were steadfast and rained death on the heroes of Morbious. Death was but a temporary stop on the way to immortality as the Morbians continued to batter the doors and scale the walls, but the Parthians held firm.

By noon, messengers reached the Morbian camp - Phangorian outriders had been spotted in the distant hills. As the storm crows gathered it was time for desperate action, the Morbian champion, the Morbid One, would lead the final assault.

Battle lines were called, trumpets blared and the drums beat the rhythm of doom.

The warriors charged and ladders were thrown against the walls. Many a hero died at the top of the ladder but the brave continued to rise. Finally, the Morbid One ascended and parrying attacks from left and right managed to get a foothold on the ramparts. A blinding riposte killed one, and a thrust to the groin killed a second, giving the Morbian champion a split-seconds respite. In that moment the Morbid One knew what he had to do.....

With a blood curdling scream he charged. Disembowelling one with his sword, and thrusting his dagger into the eye of another he continued his charge. A sword pierced the body of the Morbid One, exiting the back above the hip, but the charge continued. With weapons embedded in the enemy the Morbid One saw no alternative... grasping three Parthian warriors he flung himself of the wall into the city. It was enough, the Morbian guards had the space they needed and gained the wall. The mass of bodies seemed to take an age to fall to the flagstones below, it was during this time that the Morbid One saw what was required. In one move he pulled the sword from his hip and, with a flick of his wrist, he threw the sword to the captain of the gate. End over end the sword spun, but the aim was true and the captain barely had time to wonder why there was a hilt embedded in this throat before he collapsed lifeless to the floor. A sickening crunch followed as the guards were crushed below the Morbid One. Rolling from the lifeless bodies that had absorbed the impact he retrieved his weapons and charged the gate guards - it was enough. Seeing the face of death they knew the game was up and ran. The Morbid One opened the gates and the Morbian elite entered to liberate the city to the cheers of the citizens.

When asked what on earth made him try such a desperate tactic, the Morbid One replied: It was something he's seen in a film

New Albia has sought alliance with Kappadokia. We welcome this overture, but first we must test the mettle of New Albia in the white-hot furnace of battle.

Hence we have launched a probing invasion and issued a challenge to glorious battle.

Certainly a different approach - when offered the hand of friendship cut it off & wait to see if he offers you the other one :?

I believe Scar & Maximvs are away currently.

We may also have lost RyanDG - not heard from him since mid June.

That's the general idea - that they should remember not to fight the Kappadokians again in future.

Despite a loss to the Phanryngians in Mytilene the Tuamanite forces have regrouped and with a magic 2 of clubs recruited Mytilenians disaffected by years (well four weeks anyway) of Kappa-Phangorian oppression and is, yet again, a full strength army.

Providing this doesn't stick in the pharynx of the Phanryngians of Phangoria (which could cause them to become Hypoxians :? ?) and fire them with a burning sense of injustice, a victory is expected in this round of fighting.

Hi Guys,

I downloaded the IF Beta, had to re-register my serial # and then the new patch installed and now I have no multi-player games! Is this a system thing or did I screw something up?

The beta uses a different server than normal. With the beta installed you are not able to access any of your per-beta games. There was a warning in the aqnnouncement of the beta.

reinstall the last patch 1.2.8 i think that should do it.

i made a second installation of FOG on a different hard drive
and use that for the beta , that way i am able to get the best
of both worlds :-)

One would think after the long , cold winter season there would be a lot more activity going on in the LW ie Wars!

Whats up?
is it because its summer (at least in this part of the hemisphere, vacations etc?)
players still getting used to double moves?
people awaiting for IF's release to try there hand conquering the LW w Spartans?
