The only player who can beat it (or equal it as he beat pantherboy this season) is unbeaten Nosy_Rat (Frankish) who needs 10 points from his remaining 4 matches. At the bottom dkalenda (Byzantine) is really struggling for the first time but he needs just 1 point from his last 4 matches to relegate CheAhn (also Byzantine). A fantastic battle is taking place at the top of Division B where ConstantinIX (Arab Conquest) and Macedonczyk (Byzantine) both have 6 straight wins now and are still to play each other. At the bottom markwatson360 (Andalusian) is relegated despite winning his last match. In Division C the leader Challenge1 (Arab Conquest) was unable to close out the division after being held to a score-draw by SpeedyCM (Dailami). This means that Questar17 (Norman) can still overtake him if he gains maximum points from his last 3 matches. At the bottom there are still 5 players in the relegation battle but bottom-placed MikeMarchant (Ghaznavid) must get something from his last match against SpeedyCM to have any chance to survive at this level. Nothing much to report in Division D where bomber23 (Andalusian) has moved into second place. The relegation battle is still wide open with ggarynorman (Byzantine) struggling the most with 5 straight defeats. DanZanzibar (Dailami) looks well on the way to winning automatic promotion from Division E, although Stew101 (Arab Conquest) has mounted a gallant pursuit. He can still reach 33 points so DanZanzibar needs 3 points from his last match to be certain of finishing top as things currently stand. snooky51 (Ghaznavid) has replaced MadMaxBot who failed the second Time Control check. In Division F hyme (Bulgar) has withdrawn from the tournament this week forfeiting all his remaining matches and securing the wooden spoon for himself in the process.

That was my last game in the league , good results for me in my 3 divisions for my first participation and i began the game one or two month before the tournament , i can t wait to play the next league , a big thanks to stockwellpete for the organisation , it must take you so much time

Aetius39 - Macedonian 328-321 BC defeats rs2excelsior - Ptolemaic 55-30 BC 62-47

Battle started off badly for the Macedonians, losing their general, units disrupting, and an hole punched in the middle of their lines. They did have have two things going for them though, the Macedonian left was routing lights and pushing well, and their phalanxes were better quality than the Ptolemaic, and could also handle the Roman legions well too. After a long, hard fight, Macedonia routed the enemy, but the battle was hard and up in the air until the very end. GG to rs2excelsior!

Aetius39 - Frankish 751-887 AD with Saxon, Continental 600-804 AD allies defeats texanotedesco - Khorasanian 821-1003 AD 49-24

The Franks were up against an all-cavalry army, which made them have to decide to either stand and take the shots or advance. They chose to advance, which had them taking some bad casualties but broke up the cavalry formation and didn't allow them to deal crushing arrow attacks simultaneously. It was a long battle, but eventually the Franks pulled it out. Thanks for playing and GG to my opponent!

Weekly round-up
Two wins for harveylh (Thracian) this week has put him back on top of Division A, but Nosy_Rat (Cimmerian) is still very much the favourite with a 100% record after 4 matches. In Division B there were 3 wins apiece for unbeaten batesmotel (Achaemenid) and Macedonczyk (Assyrian) who have moved clear at the top of the table. sunnyboy (Syracusan) is still unbeaten in 5 matches and has to play the top 2 so he definitely cannot be written off at this stage. Something weird is going on Division C where half of the players seem to be trying to finish up on the same points total. baldrick52 (Kyrenean) is above all this sorts of shenanigans and is currently 13 points clear of the rest after finishing his matches. The only player left who can make a challenge is eighth-placed rs2excelsior (Carthaginian) who has won 2 from 3 and currently needs 20 points from his last 6 matches to win automatic promotion.

Division E for Elegance

Barrold713 (Carthaginians - Hannibal in Africa) defeats rs2excelsior (Ptolemaic) 58-23

This was a very good map for my list with a prominent hill with lots of rough terrain to get my excellent medium foot stationed upon. My large number of lights mostly kept the cavalry from being effective and some disastrous rolls and downhill charges from impact foot made the difference despite a lot of late game rallies. Thanks for the match.
