Yes, the Gepids and Hepthalite Huns were both available in Classical Antiquity this season. The DAG gives the latest date for the Gepids as AD567 and for the Hepthalite Huns it is AD550 - so the bulk of their respective timespans falls in the earlier period rather than Early Middle Ages (AD500-AD1000).
