Next round next week-end: Rome marches East: Magnesia 190 BC and Pydna 168 BC. Interesting design challenge to show how the short swords of the legions defeated the pikes of the phalanx.

Carthage deviated from the script a bit here. The Roman attack on the flanks destroyed the Iberians, but in the process, the Roman left took fairly heavy casualties.

The Carth centre retreated a short distance, then some of its troops turned to face the Roman centre. The others formed a second line facing the Roman left, along with all of the Carth reserves from the hill.

As the Roman left chased fleeing Iberians, they ran into a wall of fresh Libyan troops. Silanus was killed, and most of his wing routed. Meanwhile, the Roman centre had also taken heavy casualties. The Roman right under Scipio was advancing towards the hill, but hadn't quite got there when the battle ended.
