Also, Why isn't anyone posting the edited terrain so that the graphics can be used? I think that it was more than a month ago that in-game screenshots were posted with them complete, but yet I can't use them yet? (If you do post them, a couple could end up in GC14 even)

Since we're on a WWI production drive, I thought I'll give my 2 eurocents as well. Say hello to the brave soldiers of Galizisches KuK Infanterieregiment Nr. 15 - the 15th Imperial and Royal Galician Infantry Regiment. At this scale you can't tell much, but it's definitely them - you can tell by the bright red (Krapp-roth) collar patches and braids adorning their chests. If you want another regiment, just switch the colour to one of this list and you're good to go. BTW, the icon is based on this excellent plastic soldiers kit. I have multi-layered source file if you need it, just let me know.

Glad you like it. Here's some Russian infantry then :) In my mind it's the famed 6th Rifle Regiment (6-й стрелковый полк), stationed in Kielce, Poland. But to be sincere, it could be any Russian regiment of early WWI.

It seems I'm on fire today :) This time the fire is provided by these fine gentlemen from the 8th Bn, Lancashire Fusiliers. They fought during WWI in Egypt and Gallipoli so I guess they might be used as a typical colonial infantry. Hope you like them.

If you want, I can make a Heavy Infantry out of them too (there's a nice prone Lewis MG gunner available).

I see, but that fire might be better used on icons that I'm still waiting on for new units:

Yeah, I'm still looking for a decent Ottoman or Bulgarian infantry. I'll see what I can do about the planes, perhaps there's some usable 3D models in the WWI mods for Battlefield 1942.

In the meantime, I was in a mood for some truly unique unit: a first aid station. I wasn't sure about whether to add the shadows or not, or whether you'll have any use for it, so it's half-done I guess. Let me know what you think.

Not much point adding stuff that we aren't happy with. I'm still using a British Inf '14 pic for them, which is better for now.

The Arab one is good though! :D

Awesome. No need for the aircraft, as you have the air unit as part of your core anyway. :D

Sir, you're in luck tonight. I hit a treasure trove. I got dozens of WWI 3D models. Airco DH2 and DH4 (alas no DH5), lots of other planes, even a Gulaschkanone :) I got London and Paris busses (used to ferry troops to the frontline), Daimler truck and Ford T and such. I got Big Bertha, 6in26CWT gun, and even the Russian Mendeleyev cannon. I'm now able to decode all the models and textures of Battlefield 1918 game. However, the process is a tad time-consuming, so I won't be able to convert them fast. One or two models a day at most, if I have enough time. What are your priorities? Just browse through this category list and let me know what should be my next step.

For now I completed the Ehrhardt E-V/4 Armoured Car. Enjoy :)

I agree, that is a huge list!

I'll give you the freedom of choosing what icons to make. However, The units labelled after the Berg D.I inclusive are all new, and I would prefer those before the units that are already in the mod.

Also, the Airco DH4 and 5 look similar enough that an icon of one could serve in both units (except that I don't have the DH4 unit). My current icon of the Albatros C.III is actually a C.II, but when I made it I couldn't find anything better. (That's why in the Grand Armoury I label it the "Albatros C.II/C.III"

Ok, here's the Gotha G.IV then. Actually the differences between the whole range of aircraft, from G.II to G.V were pretty minor (mostly powerplant, plywood vs. fabric and such), which means you could use this one for any one of them.

The icon is not 100% to scale, but there was no chance to do it properly. The length of the airplane was around 12 metres (slightly longer than the Junker Ju.87). However, the wingspan was so huge that when I scaled the model to the length of Junkers, the wings didn't fit in the picture :) That's why I had to make it slightly smaller than in reality.
