Hi,

The sort function isn't working correctly in the new version - it gives a merged cell message:

"This error only appears if you attempted to sort a range of previously merged cells, but not all cells in the sort range were merged or are not of the same size.
To avoid this behavior, unmerge all the merged cells in the range, or merge all the cells in the range to be the same as the largest merged cell grouping."

it's work on my PC :cry: . I killed the merged cell and this must function fluently now.
The tournament version don't have this problem as I see.

Sorting by Order of March Gone?

In previous versions, you could right-click on the first cell of the order of march, go to sort, then sort by order of march...but i don't see that now...was it removed?

No, you certainly have an empty cell in your line (usually that of the book order) put an "-" in this cell, or any symbol you like and the problem is corrected. :wink:

it's the F version, with no book column...but at the very top there is a & b columns...maybe that is muddling it up?....when going to custom sort it only shows columns....not 'by order of march' like before

Ah, I see now :) You have two Choice.
1) Kill all the merged cell and delete the B column
2) Download the last version I've made after the message from neilhammond

Hi All :lol:,

just working on a Fatimid Egyptian army list How do you do a BG with 2/3 Heavy foot 7 1/3 Light foot in the army list Builder program please.

Hello, you have an example in the read me! :wink:
You put in one line the HF and the LF on an other line and you affect the same order of march to the BG.

so no versions that work in open office yet?

Swordsmen not Swordmen please

In the army calculator, can Swordmen be replaced with Swordsmen (which is correct English)?

I just feel that this spelling mistake detracts from what is a superb tool. Given the poor standard of my French I am impressed that the tool works in English so well.

Guess not, but it's not really difficult to make it work in OpenOffice yourself.

Code: Select all

1.) Format -> Sheet -> Show, then select: Donées
2.) Enter a '0' (zero) into cell N6
3.) Same sheet, cell B1, replace: ="Traduction!$A$1:"&ADDRESS_XL(COUNTA($Traduction.A$1:A$65536);COUNTA(Language_choices);1;TRUE())
with this:="Traduction.$A$1:"&ADDRESS(COUNTA($Traduction.A$1:A$65536);COUNTA(Language_choices);1;"Traduction")
4.) Insert -> Names -> Define:  'Zone_Traduction' from this: =INDIRECT_XL($Données.$B$1)
to this: =INDIRECT($Données.$B$1)
5.) Format -> Sheet -> Hide
Save and you are done. It should now work properly with both Excel and OpenOffice. At least it works for me using OO2.4x under Linux.
