Man, this was a close one. We had to go through at least ten rounds of flag capping with just a few units left each. At the end I had just a single scout unit left against a panther and an MG42. With zero turns remaining the agility of the scout defeated the raw power of the titans but what a fight! Gort, after our initial skirmishes I was ready to divide Ortona in two parts and live peacefully as neighbours. You completely halted my offense sir. Well done and great game.

Thanks GL and so it ends. However, at the time it was really uphill against Gort and too close to call. Absolutely nerve wrecking

Thanks Gort and yes, it could have gone either way. I was fortunate to have infantry units left for the end game. While your Panther was a real pain during most of the game it wasn't worth much for capping flags on its own

Also, in Scenario Design Amaris has updated his single player version of Ortona to use the Husky tiles and give it more of an Italian (Sicilian) look. Go take a look.

Gortwillsaveus I have really enjoyed crossing swords with you and you are both too kind to me and too tough on yourself. They were great games and having been taught by Mon, 88 and kingt (I still shudder at all those errors) I think I can honestly say that I fretted more playing you!

Artic (Comrade) you did enough simply by allowing JT to post himself as my 2-I-C and I have to keep him until we push the Germans back from Moscow? Too cruel of you. Again I cannot thank you enough for the games .... great play, and I'm awaiting your final go..........
