one of my favorite units in PG

Played vanilla before(Patch 1.00) now it´s include after patching ....nice
I am not sure which new units pop up after patching
but I expected some more air units seen in Pacific General(mostly allied)
but with all that mods/campains/scenarios and patches I am sure I will get more than I could ever wish

Don't know if anyone's still looking at this page, but -

1) A team of horses as transport for a gun.

2) The British QF 18 Pounder Field Gun.

I'm working on a WW1 mod, other thing's I can probably get elsewhere, but not the above.

And I have to thank you for your additions, guille. I thought I had to give something back after using a couple of your AA units in AT mode and your DShK HMG icon. I also like and use the Horse Transport by rezaf and the sIG 33 by bebro. Nice additions that fit well to the vanilla icons.

I’m looking for a Kübelwagen as a successor to the Kradschützen in 43. It should fit to the other original units in grey color. A desert variant would be nice too. A bigunit icon of course too.

Working on the PGII campaigns and I need some Spanish Civil War units, I've been looking for the past couple of weeks and haven't found any so I figured I should ask and get the project off the ground again.

I need Regular Infantry for both Republican and Nationalist Spain, as well as a T-26 with Republican markings. Thank you in advance and full credit will be given both in the mod post, and in mod readme.

I'm pretty sure Rezaf did quite a number of SCW units incl. T26...unfortunately his original dl is not working anymore it seems.

But IIRC Nico's/Uhu's Italian mod has them too, so you may get them from there:

Im making the Weserubung -scenario because it fun. Lots of combined oprerations and so. For the SUD opreration I work with units down to named patrol-vessels, Squadrons, and regiments as 10 for infantry. I am going for the absolute most accurate order of battle. I have the battleplan for operatioin SUD finished. Ive mad the map and so, but I need some units. I will list here, and hope for some help , with one or all of them. Making units are not my top-kompetence.


I need

1 - The HS 123 - look in wikipedia for it. ( I cannot link in this messages as a new user )
It took part

2 - JU87R made availeble already in april 1940, It was taking part in Weserubung, but in PG it wont apear until in the summer of 1940, which is wrong. THe R model has longer range, which was needed in operation Weserubung.

3. A german 105 mm towed. Used by some art. rg . THey originated from the former Tch. army.

4. German Minesweeperunits. The operation had great use of lots of minesweepers. There were dif. types, but this was a standard:
Displacement 682t. Speed 18.3kts Armament Two 105mm/45 , Two 37mm/83 , Two 20mm

5 Germand special units -"MachinenGewehr" oprerated in size og batallion. Would love them made whit a mashinegun gruop as symbol i game
As I have understand they are a mobile/truck enhanced Chock/attack-unit.

6 -Danish Torpedoboat.
For the narrow waters the scandinavian counties used a lot of torpedoboats. Its a patrol-sized vessel with high speed and manueverable and heavy armed. OFten armed the as a Fregat. I thik the following type can be used as a model: 59 m lenght 2 m depht 2*87mm 2*20mm 6*450mm topedotubes 30 knots

Diff. types but this is a standard: 300t 53m 1*75mm 1*37 2'20mm/AA

8 Danish Uboat - a eng. model could be taken as source

11 Danish light artillery - 75 mm towed

Hello keld, interesting idea for a scenario, Weserübung Süd could be a fun addition. A lot of people in the forum are probably a bit busy testing a beta version (well, I am) , but maybe I can help out with a couple of things.

This is a very easy fix, in the equipment.pzeqp this can easily be changed. (can be edited with Excel or notepad)

There are currently two German towed 105mm in the game, one regular leFh and a captured Polish gun. There are also plenty artillery icons available made by modders. So there's probably something usable.

A lot of the ships could probably use the normal game icons. Modder bebro has made some custom ship icons (can be seen in the Unit Factory thread and his mods).

Are these similar to the Grenadiere (HW) infantry, or are you looking for something else? Is there a specific unit I can look up to see what you mean?

Same as with the German minesweeper, there are not many custom ship icons, but there are some about. If it's very easy to change something I could help. Check bebro's IJA mod, there are a lot of custom ship icons in there, and sea mines, coastal artillery and forts, etc.

Could be made easily from existing icons, but it would depend if the Danish should have distinctive colors/helmets or anything.

I'm not sure how to add a new nation, but it can be done, lots of other people have done it. The nations are identified in strings.pzdat (edit with Excel or notepad), there are flag icons (viewtopic.php?f=147&t=40508), so should be little problem.

keld, I've found the Hs 123 icon with the 'advanced search' function: viewtopic.php?f=147&t=36536&p=395873#p395873 The Fokker is in the same thread somewhere.

For adding the flags and the nation it could help to take a look at how other mods have done it. I mostly mod icons and equipment stats, but with the search I found this thread, maybe this will help: viewtopic.php?f=147&t=36608

As for determining realistic settings for the units, have a look at deducter's mod, he has a included a written manual on how he adjusted the stats: viewtopic.php?f=147&t=30708#p287178 I have some experience with adjusting them as well, but not everybody uses the same values and sometimes it's simply down to personal preference. I can try to help with making some decent stats, I always find the smaller nations and their armies very interesting.

If you have some basic material for your mod and more detailed questions, it might be better to make a separate thread for yourself in the Scenario Design section, this thread is mostly for icon requests, so if you need a lot of information it might easier to make your own thread for the Danish units and ask the more general modding questions in there, you might get better response.
