From what I've been reading from players reviews Syndicate turned out to be, even forgetting that the gameplay is not related with the legacy games, a totally uninspired game.
Here's a review:

My Jagged Alliance BiA review

Since somebody mentioned Jagged Alliance BiA in this thread:

I have played the game this weekend. I was worried it will be bad due to the poor reviews, but as I was a fan of the first two, I decided to give it a try. Now after about 10h of playing, I have to say its hard for me to summarize the game.
If I would have to write what is good and bad in the game the bad would have a huge numerical advantage:
- problems with line of sight
- getting shot behind a wall
- all the enemies visible at once (that was done intentionally by the developers)
- stupid AI
- enemy forgetting about you after a while
- lots of problems with pathing
- terrible inventory system

I could keep on going :)

BUT! I have a lot of fun playing, it has the right atmosphere of JA, large selection of weapons, lots of enemies to make up for AI, typical JA humor. the first 10 hours were very fun and it was hard for me to quit. Most of the problems could be solved with a patch - question is will they try to fix it.

The simultaneous movement with pause system is very interesting and offers many options but is not necessary (at least in the first 10h) to win.

So to sum it up - most of the negative reviews on metacritic are true, but all the negatives don't make the game bad.

I just heard about this. My favorite RPG of all time. The only thing I'm wondering about is whether the designers want to incorporate the features of many of the best mods available, like Ascension, SCS, Item/Spell Revisions, etc.

This is what we know from the tweets:
"There will be two games. Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition and Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition #bgee=BG+TotSC, bg2ee=bg2+ToB"
"new content for the game you love, made by some of the original team members"
"...Beamdog exclusive. As for other platforms, tune is same time next week"
"We take mods seriously. (I led NWN after all) mods both current and future are important. More announcements to come"
"We're using the 2nd Edition D&D rules"
"Infinity Enhanced is based off the latest Throne of Bhall codebase"
"We're 2D isometric all the way"
"We're going to stay with the BG model of only voicing some of the content. We feel it allows for more in-depth writing."
"we are trying hard not to break mods"
In answer to comparing the look against BG + Widescreen mod: "it will be better. We've got the code to rework the UI and rendering"

Even if it's coming from Australian Bohemia and not the original Operation Flashpoint/Arma studio, I bet it will be quite interesting.
Surely, it will be a first day buy for me. :)

As promised I'm proud to present Wing Commander Saga. We have released:

It would be cool if some people here, who remember that genre, come over and have a look :) (And now that we have released I finally have more time to play Panzer Corps haha!)

I've downloaded it on the release day. Although I haven't had time yet to play it. But it's already ready for running. :)
Thanks!

Cool :) If you run into any technical problems (some ATI cards don't seem to like our game) let us know in our forums. Otherwise I hope you're having fun with it :)

And I've only ATI cards in my PCs...
But I've run Freespace without a problem. Isn't this FS2Open? OpenGL?

A heavily modified version of it. And I said SOME ATI cards. And even for those we have a few workarounds. Just make sure you deactivate Crossfire, just in case :) If anything doesn't work, just tell us in our forums. We have a few ideas on how to fix that. But for most people it works just fine (I used an ATI card for most of the final development time)

Yes, I've pre-order it too.
It seems to be a nice Dungeon Master clone.
