How about DLC 44 West? Has anyone captured any enemy units in any of these scenarios?

The thread for the 'Complete Captured Units Database' has fallen off the first page, so here's a direct link to the post for DLC '44 West in it: viewtopic.php?f=121&t=39382#p371558

The Sherman Firefly, found in the Bayeux scenario, is very nice to have... Anyway, happy collecting!

Picture of the equiments I captured/collected during my GC East 39-45.
I kept all equipment as they were, as spoil of war, and refrained to upgrade them to german units to keep a record.
However,I upgraded the artillery gun from Warsaw 39, because at that time I hadn't realized there were so much to capture
There is also the SE Maus prototype you get for Berlin Redux

Hmm, with some infantry, those would probably be able win the GC alone.

Is there any way to find out where you get hidden units without having to play it?
I hate it, when I miss a Unit, but there is no database for Soviet or US Campaign.

One way is to do a search.

The second way [if you have the windows version] is to open each scenario in the editor and look.

If you have Excel (or a program that will open Excel files), you can use my Panzer Corps Reference Guide (this is a slightly updated version from the one at viewtopic.php?f=121&t=81102&p=693146#p693146). The first sheet shows each scenario/capturable units, scenario bonuses and also heroes given as you scroll right (if necessary for smaller screens). This is what I've found in the forums and added when I've found some that weren't there in the scenarios. I don't claim it's everything, but It's what I've been able to find (mostly from other sources) so far. I'd be most skeptical of US Corps. If I find anything else or anyone else can give me an update, I'll be sure to add them.

Whoops, it's been a while since I've played and I've added a few more Soviet/US Corps items. I'm only up through May 43 so I'm sure there is more. If others are farther and I've seen bonuses/capturables/etc, I'd be glad to add them. Here is the file with what I've found through Tunis (US Corps).

Darn, Darn Darn, just realized I forgot to add the ships at Bizerte and Tunis (both US Corps). If you don't want spoilers, don't look. Hopefully, I'll move along in US/Soviet Corps to find more relatively soon. Anyone else who found anything, let me know and I'll add them. There isn't really much out there for either that I've seen.

Cool List, really nice. I will use it for playthroughs.

Still the question remains if there is a way to check it out by myself. Is there some file I can open which has that information? Even if it is the single scenarios, that doesn't matter.
I checked the other thread, but it only says which units you get, but not where you can find them.

I think you need to open the respective *.pzscn scenario files (from your data folder) in the Scenario Editor and check out the map as well as the scripts... (maybe compare here: http://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtop ... 21&t=88503)

My guess is that units are preplaced on the map and will become visible/available once certain conditions in the relevant scripts are being met (e.g. flag change in certain city or city occupied, etc.).

OK, this is my final effort that should include everything in US Corps/Soviet Corps through the end. As Pete Mitchell said, I looked at both the scenario parameters in the scenario editor and compared them with the messages listed at the end of the specific scenario .pzloc files in the Data folders.

One small errata that I noticed: I forgot the 'e' at the end of 'Lafayette' for 'Lafayette G. Pool' in his listing as a hero gained during Avranches (US Corps 44-45). I did correct it in the vVI file but not worth downloading again. Simple enough to change quickly in the file yourself if you care.

Thank you! In my first Russian Campaign ploughthrough arriving at Korsun and curious to see what I have missed so far... My initial thoughts: way less captured units and heroes rewarded when playing the RC - correct?

Correct, there are no heroes in Soviet Corps and no more capturables after the Tiger in Sinyavino Offensive, just prestige bonuses. US Corps only has 3 heroes (one per DLC component): 'Bomber Ace in '42', Audie Murphy in '43, and Lafayette G. Pool in '44-45'.

I've been debating whether to include the USS Boise/Savannah bug that occurs in US Corps '43 between Gela and Gela Counter-attack. As it has to be a bug since having cloned ships or a 3200 point prestige dump both seem silly, I have decided not to include it in my reference file. However, it is part of the game and so, for the sake of completeness, for those who may be in desperate need of a large prestige infusion, and those who might just consider it an easter egg worth exploiting, you might wish to add the following by the Gela scenario:

If the USS Boise and Savannah are evacuated before scenario end, you will have 2 of each (clones) in the Gela Counter-attack scenario,
one pair pre-deployed, the other set listed as auxiliary units but with your core and, therefore, either deployable or disbandable for 1600 prestige each.

P.S. if you don't evacuate them at Gela, you will still get the pre-deployed auxiliary set for the counter-attack, jsut not the extra pair.
