Emperor Morbio also claims victory in this battle!

{Note: Both sides reached break point in the final turn, so technically this is a draw}

This was an interesting battle because the Morbians were expecting to have the superior numbers for this battle as the Blathergutrians had suffered heavily in their defeat in the first battle, but and as the forces marched into position it was clear that an allied host had joined the Blathergutrians and now the Morbians were numerically disadvantaged. However, despite facing more pikes, more MF and more skirmishers, the Morbians had one great advantage - belief! They were not known as the immortal and undefeated Morbians - it is true :lol:, but they were undefeated :D The battle was quiet at the start and much time was spent jostling for position, but when the 2 armies finally closed it looked as if the Morbians were going to achieve the victory they had worked so hard for. The Blathergutrians were close to losing {2 points} and the Morbians still doing well {8 points to break}, but the killing of many enemy had left the small Morbian army weak and depleted. Blathergutria made one final push and the weakened Morbian line collapsed - Blathergutria had saved the day. Both commanders claim victory, although with so many dead on the field, this was only a victory for the crows.

As the veterans and wounded were gathered round their camp fire a murmur began, then load talk rising to a crescendo of noise... the cry was REVENGE! The commanders, can do nothing more but push on and the 2 reduced forces will meet once more.

Now that I am aware of what I am up against it will give our oracles a better idea of which stars to look at and what omens to search for.
Well Emperor C, what is your decision? I warn you, our seers have sacrificed 2 lobsters (OK, they couldn't find any goats in these Wastes of Doom - so they used my supper! :roll: ) and I warn you, it augurs badly for you. Depart this land and allow Morbious to turn these wastes into fertile land.

Defender: Scar (Seleucid)

An incredibly close battle swung at the last moment and allowed the Morbians to win the day. Emperor Morbio puts this down to the extra goats that were sacrificed just before the battle, clearly the great God Dice was pleased and showed his gratitude at the end! :roll:

I'm sure Davy Crockett will be gathering the remnants of the Texan army to defend once more and won't cede Houston without a fight. Scar, please confirm.
Well Scar, have your seers contacted the great God PG? Are you fighting on or do you cede Houston to Morbious?

Rome requests any of our allies to send reinforcements (if they have them) to our beleaugured army facing the Deeterites.. They appear to have lobbed poisoned carcasses into our camp, giving us the plague and laying many of our boys low (100 ap's worth , at that!)

Parthia cedes Gaia Australia to Crimea, concluding the Crimean War.

Let this be a lesson to all others who would dare to attack the Crimea.

Parthia hasn't actually attacked anyone. Parthia hasn't made a single expedition outside of its own borders. If the United Nations were in existence (Parthia considers forming it) you would all be up on war crimes charges.

Revisionist history is the perogative of the prevailing party. In point of fact, given that you've been attacked by about half a dozen different nations (all of whom would presumably get a vote) if the UN were in existence its likely that YOU would be up on war crimes charges. :shock:

I'm now off to supervise the May Day festivities, when all Crimea celebrates the repulse of the dastardly Parthians and their unprevoked aggression... :D

The Covenanter Empire, cleverly disguised as Venetian Condotta, is repulsed.

Covenanter Empire (Venetians) 31500/14336

No doubt they were tripped up by their renaissance frippery. The Horde awaits word as to whether Lord Deadtorius wishes to lead more of his overdressed lambs to the slaughter.
