A really closely contested game.
Both sides had favorable terrain they really didn't need to vacate, but that would have resulted in a clear draw, so both sides edged towards a clash along the line.
It transpired that both armies had an overlap on their left flanks and the initial advantage went to the Irish, but the Viking right held just long enough for their own left to win. So the outcome was really decided in the centre, where the Viking's had concentrated their foot huscarls and one unit of mounted huscarls. They after much hard work they overcame the Irish medium foot.

It marks a fitting end to my FoG2 MP experience after 1000's of hours of fun and as someone who excelled only at constant mediocrity in results ....a very surprising conclusion

Of course, there will be another TCBOO coming (as long as people keep being interested). But it will have to wait until I come back from vacation at the end of August to start. I will probably post which theme and battles will come out, along with recruitment, early August though, so it can start once I get back.
