I'm OK with 'Remove the Head'. Mostly I try to keep my CinC out of any combat but sometimes I forget.
It does add a hugely random effect to battles if he is used as Aetius writes, but can live with that and if my opponent uses his CinC and I don't then that is a risk that he is taking and may benefit from.

1b. Conquest in VI Raetia: tyronec as Gepids (1600 FP) attacks kronenblatt as Alamans (1562 FP) => tyronec (8%) beat kronenblatt (18%), due to C-in-C falling in battle.

Aetius39 (Ostrogoths) defeats Kronenblatt (Huns) 54-22

It was a shoot-a-thon at first, but the Ostrogoths managed to scatter the Hunnic archers so they couldn't concentrate much on a particular unit. GG!

As far as I can see, only battles 3 and 7 are not yet concluded:

7. The battle has been joined but it's still in early phase (turn 8, I think?).

Based on PM:

Soisons beat franks 63-40 and suevians beat visigoths 43-16.

As mentioned earlier:

At the end of the round in which at least one C-in-C of any of the twelve major factions falls in battle, players shall select new major factions to represent (from among those they have not already represented).

This happened in round 2; for CaptainWalterSavage and kronenblatt.

Players select their new major factions in decreasing order of their FP adjustments this round but with the player whose major faction’s C-in-C fell in battle this round in any event always selecting last. This means the following order this time (however with MadMaxBot last since not participating last round):

1. tyronec (NOT Suevians Franks West Rome)
2. Aetius39 (NOT West Rome Italy Ostrogoths)
3. peterpiper (NOT East Rome Ostrogoths Soissons)
4. olin0111 (NOT Soissons East Rome Visigoths)

As mentioned in the rules and above, you can't select any major faction that you are currently representing or that you've already represented earlier in the tournament (currently 3 represented by each player); it has to be a new major faction to you haven't represented before (currently 9 remaining for each player).

Once attack declarations have been made, battles are resolved simultaneously during a three-week period and concluded by June 12 at the latest (see Battles in the rules).

• Rules are found in second post of this thread.

• Date (midnight CET (Rome) time) above indicates deadline, after which opportunity to declare attack is forfeited and the player next in line may declare attack.

• If a player above has announced an attack, then player next in line is free and is encouraged to announce attack to, up to his deadline, i.e., if the players before you have announced attacks, don't wait for your deadline to announce your own attacks but instead do so speedily so battles can start as soon as possible.
