Spring has Sprung
As Winter ends and the hangovers from all those weddings begin to thud thud thud, the peace-loving rulers of many nations rush like a herd of horny bulls to be the first with the new cows in the neighbours field.
Two cities are besieged.
The newly won Kappadonkian city of Mytilene is besieged by the school principal of Tuam, and Sakastan, the last true golden city of the Parthians, is surrounded by the Morbid horde.
However it is said that Phanagoria offers hope to the hopeless and has already dispatched relief armies. Such is the reach of the phanagorians that they have even started to fight one of the besieging armies before they have arrived. The gods instantly covered the battlefield in an epoxy resin which will only soften at the appropriate time, permitting the battle to continue.
Shock at Murder of Princess
A crazed and spurned ex-lover of the prince of Arrakis has murdered his bride, the recently married princess of Canaan, thus voiding the blood alliance between these two august houses. Could someone have been behind such a evil plot?

I've make a number of changes to the players guide to reflect several changes / clarifications from our first years campaign - has it only been one year - feels like a decade already!
If anyone wants a word version please just email me (address on my profile).
May I take this opportunity to thank all players past & present for the fun we've all had. With over 1700 posts in the 2 threads for LW we are certainly not a shy crowd!
Good luck to all in the coming year - and if you cannot reach immortality it least go out with a bang

Xiccarph I have been informed that your people bathe and pee in the great river that flows from your lands through my own. This is an insult that can not be ignored any longer. I hereby slap you with the Papyrus of War, suitably soaked in the urine of a pregnant camel (for that extra stench you cant get anywhere else)
Battle will be posted PW: riverpee
(Sniff...Hmmm smells like teen spirit....oh well.) Deadtorious, we have tried to live in peace and with good hygine and it is not our fault your people chose to live down river from us. Be that as it may we will defend most aggressivly against your impudent invasion!

Now that the Spring season is on us, I take advantage of God's blessings to curse my blood enemy, the Crimean Empire.
They cannot use Inspired general in any of their new battles this season. Take advantage!

There have been a number of declarations of war over the last few days, but I've received no PMs from the defenders, nor posts in this forum, telling me where the battles are taking place. Please don't forget to let me know otherwise I can't keep the map up to date.
Thanks

The machinations of the Lost World...
So,Ironclad no more blood alliance but when I find the culprit of this heinous deed I will punish him and you are free to join(if evidence doesn't show up I'll will ask my oracle...someone must pay for this).
Note that this will take some time. I will lay low untill I'm sure I have a good enough connection the second half of July. No DOW from me but I will of course do my best to fight any aggressor.

Tragic news and a sad loss. Its worse than you can imagine as I fear that Ghanima may have had a hand in this - she was always close to her brother and I do mean close. Of course that tendency shouldn't be a problem (indeed is probably an advantage) with her marriage into the Egyptian royal family. I'm sure the noble lord Blathergut will keep her in hand. No more pocket money or Pyramid nights out!
A blood price is owed your noble house and despite the enforced ending of the alliance we shall continue to act in its spirit.
Btw you wouldn't happen to have another marriageable sprog for Leto, now he's single again? We would waive the dowry of course.

PG:
What happens if I call on a blood ally to come to my aid and the evil army attacking me is from SoA but the blood ally only runs RoR?
Edit: They could use an SoA army from any of the 4 allies??
Invasion of Westralia

*Whilst frolicking in the palace pool, received a papyrus note which read:
"Agents from Westralia, attempting to weaken our ally, Ironclad, have cruelly assassinated the wife of one of the prince's there."
Hmmmmmss. Obviously not something to be considered truthful.
But....hey...any excuse!
Marshals the army (RoR) and heads north through ianiow's lands (mit der permizzion) and into Westralia.
