Weekly round-up
In his first campaign in the top-flight ConstantinIX (Byzantine) has hit the front with 2 straight wins in Division A. Nosy_Rat (Western Huns) has also started with a win. Cunningcairn (Arab City) is the early leader in Division B and Nijis (Sassanid) has also made a good start. IMC (Ancient British) looks like bouncing back from last season's relegation after starting with 3 straight wins to head Division C ahead of batesmotel (Bosporan) who has 2 wins from 2 starts. In Division D bomber23 (Germanic Horse Tribes) and edb1815 (Bretons) share the lead with 3 consecutive wins with Doyley50 (Dacian) in third with 2 wins from 2 starts. In Division E one of our reserves snooky51 (Sassanid) has made a cracking start with 3 straight wins to head the table with DanZanzibar (Arab City) in second place. Conteshard (Roman) is the early leader in Division F despite being pegged back in his last match. Warg1 (Arab City) is currently in second place after winning his first 2 matches.

Division C
ahuyton (Greek) won against cromlechi (Ptolomaic) 45-16
My hoplites managed to outflank the enemy pike and scored some good (and sometimes) lucky hits, while the Egyptian legionaries and lancers threatened my weak flank but could not reverse the early damage done quickly enough.
Thanks to my opponent for a friendly game.

Division F
Tratmot (Hannibal in Africa ) beat Thunderbird27 (seleucid + jewish) 61 a 53
(3-1)
Very funny battle ! for first 13 turn, no one leave proper defending hill … only skirmish and cavalry run around, but with very little conclusion (partial 3-6)
After, all go to crazy chaos! All move to center, and my elephant emerge from wood where is hidden (i think …)
ELEPHANT FOR PRESIDENT !
In total melee my superior are wiped out after broken some phalanxh, but all Thunderbird Cavalry (3 cataphrath even) are stucked in middle melee against Pasqualino (name of elephant =P) and all my poor medium infantry.
Finally, screenshot of bloodbath in last turn.
Ty Thunderbird, very funny, hard to fought, and fast reply … i think you too are in frenzy for fast and instable match development, turn after turn!

Weekly round-up
No clear leader in Division A yet but already CheAhn (Byzantine) has secured a first important win in his seventh match to raise his hopes of avoiding relegation. Just his brother pantherboy (Dailami) and dkalenda (also Byzantine) left to play now and I would think he needs to win one of those matches to retain his top flight status. Returnee schmolywar (Arab Conquest) has stormed to the top of Division B with 3 straight wins ahead of desertedfox (Viking Ireland), who has recovered from a losing start with 2 wins. Challenge1 (Arab Conquest) is leading Division C with 3 straight wins with IMC (French) in close pursuit while Swuul (British) leads Division D with 2 wins from 2. Newcomers Dan Zanzibar (Dailami) and Stew101 (Arab Conquest) share the lead in Division E with 2 wins apiece with Aetius39 (Frankosh) and MadMaxBot (Byzantine) winning their first match each. Furious activity in Division F has seen 17 matches completed already and it is kraff (Sassanid) leading the way with 3 straight wins alongside random27 (German) who has played a game more. Nikobeg (Viking Ireland) is in mid-table but has won both his opening matches.

Division F
kraff (Sassanid Persian 591-628 AD) defeated Nikobeg (Viking, Ireland 900-1049 AD) 60 - 41
A very intense and bloody battle. The Sasanian army faced almost twice as big army of Vikings supported by the Irish. Both sides fought ferociously for a hill in the center of the map. Despite their elephants killing dozens of enemies, the Persians were on the verge of routing, but were ultimately saved by brave aswaran rear-charging the Irish and Huscarls. The hill - local tourist attraction - has since been known as the Elephant Hill or the Persian Hill. Some say that at night one may hear elephant roar and screams of dying men.
Thank you very much for the battle, Nikobeg!

Division C
devoncop (Andalucian 756 AD with Spanish allies) beat Garokan (Polish 966AD with Rus allies) by 62 - 42
The greater unit numbers and mobility of the Andalucians just prevailed on a largely open battlefield apart from an awkward stream running across the centre and some dangerous woods..
Thanks to Garokan for a great contest.

Division C
devoncop (Etruscan 330BC with Samnite allies) just beat General Shapur (Selucid 166BC) by 49 -24 .
The Etruscan resistance to the phalanx assault on their hilltop refuge was crumbling badly and a couple of turns extra would have been likely to have seen the result reversed.
Commiserations to my gallant opponent.

Division F
random27 - Slav 500-599 AD with Germanic/Gothic Foot Tribes 260-599 AD allies beats Blagrot - Breton 411-579 AD Score 62-57
Like the score tells , it was a slaughter for the two armies
I think slavs are lucky because i have won two games that my opponents could have won as well
A last charge on divided troops finished the game , but it could have been on the other side
Well played , Blagrot , see you soon
(3-1)
