Division B

Kroche (Teutonic Order 1226-1319AD w Polish 1200-1319AD allies) defeated IMC (Indian Muslim 1192-1339AD) 25% to 53% losses

A closely fought match was roughly 25% routed on each side at one stage. Indian missile fire had caused mass casualties with some Teutonic units very low on manpower. Indian Elephants were causing havoc and stunted the usual power of the Teutonic Knightly charges. Teutonic Axeman managed to halt the rampage and accompanying units could flank the mighty foe. A complete breakdown in cohesion among the Indian Cavalry at the end swung the battle in our favour, although if the fight had continued for a further round or two missiles from Indian Archers and a returning Elephant supported by Expert horse archers were poised to put the result in doubt.
GG to IMC for a fun match (except for the withering missile fire)!

Yes you read that score right. It was a very cagey, entertaining but low scoring game where the terrain meant the two armies went to great lengths to mostly avoid each other

It was a pretty tough fight that could have gone either way. The English had the advantage for the last 10+ turns but their foot couldn't run down enough of the Rus to push them over the 60% mark before bight fell and they ran away. I did have the pleasure of 'owning the fied' for whatever value that is...

After much manoeuvring, goading and mean looks both armies came to the sensible conclusion that with mutual hills and rough terrain between us and a roughly equivalent amount of (not much on either end) ranged firepower we'd be better off shaking hands and enjoying a dark ale together (maybe my Franks can surprise the foe with some fine wines). We will leave it to our Norman, English and French ancestors to decide the order of West Europe (hint: the Saxons lose).
