Morat (Frankish) defeated random27 Indian (Rajput) 650-1049 AD: 63-47
Tough scrap where the Frankish spears just managed to stave off the Indian Elephants, and then managed to stay ahead in the ensuing melees.
Thanks to random27 for a great fight.

The valiant Khorasanians concentrate their efforts on our left flank which our horse and foot eventually come to dominate with the remainder of our forces along the line holding
long enough til the Ump calls time.

Solemnace Arab (Bedouin) 300-636 AD defeats wulf85 Rus 960-1053 + Vikings
40-3
The Rus and there Viking Allies formed a tightly packed formation of Spears and Archers with limited cavalry support. Unfortunately they simply left there flanks exposed to the horde of Bedouin Lancers who slowly picked apart there formation exploiting every opportunity to disrupt the formation driving them into reckless charges against the lancers to little gain as the Formation slowly feel to pieces.
Also harveylh you appeared based on my calculation to have missed my victory over Indibil which is the first result posted in this thread. I think. At the very least you've missed one of my victories in this thread.

As a follow-up to Pergamene's efforts to maintain their independence from the Antigonids, I am please to report that the Macedonians and their Greek allies are also leaving Asia Minor (perhaps for an interesting discussion about the Agean peninsula with those Antigonids!).
With a mostly open map, Pergamene ignored the smallish hill on their right front and deployed in three groups. Theurophoroi supported by some medium cavalry in a substantial woods on their right, warbands supported by artillery and some medium infantry in rough and marsh in the rear centre, and the Xystophoroi in the rear right. All three forces were screened by a strong mix of skirmishers, including light cavalry.
The Macedonians deployed a mostly heavy infantry force, supported by a mix of cavalry, skirmishers and medium infantry for an assault on the empty hill! The Xystophoroi began a long circuit around the battlefield, shepherded by a similar size force of cavalry, elephant and infantry, eventually ending up in the melee in front of the woods, with mixed success. That melee developed from both sides supporting their skirmishers, and probably caused the majority of the Pergamene casualties. In behind that hill, outnumbered Macedonian skirmishers got ahead of their support, and were brutally cut down just as the support arrived. Together with the artillery, this gave Pergamene unanswered missile superiority, which resulted in the troops advancing on the Pergamene centre arriving quite depleted, and the defending warriors were able to substantially stand and, in fact, successfully counter attack.
Together with those skirmishers losses, this means Chris Townsend's Pergamene 262 defeated Rob123's Macedonian 320 + Greek 280 allies 65 to 37.
Good game.

The Normans had the superior numbers of knights and cavalry against the heavier armour of their Spanish opponents. Neck and neck all the way through, it was probably the fighting merits of a couple of Teutonic Knight units defeating superior numbers, that just about swung it for me. GG.

Triarii with Burgundians and Continental English defeats ulysisgrunt's Florentines
Score 50-12
The terrain allowed the Burgundians with all their mounted M@A visible and their Long Bows mostly hidden in wods and behind a hill topped with rough ground.
By accident or design the Florentines headed away from the Burgundian Men at Arms and straight at the hill.
As longbows and artillery were effective and then in rough ground held up the Swiss pikes long enough for thenm to be surrounded..
Thanks for the game.

excubitor and his Pyrrhic 274-273 BC army
by 53-28.
This battle was fought in and between two areas of rough ground at a roughly 45-degree angle to the map. The Pyrrhics conquered the southernmost parcel of rough ground while the Macedonians took the northern patch. The two parties battled fiercely for the middle clear section as the Macedonians won the northern clear area. That success allowed them to reach a 25-point differential win just as the Pyrrhics were poised to launch two heavy cavalry rear attacks on the disputed central region.

Well, the Spanish will not be invited back to the Russian steppes. Then again, the battle clearly didn't take place on the steppes! wulf85's Rus 960 and their Viking allies occupied a string of hills that included a fair bit of rough and woods terrain. And the Spanish were basically in an open plain (though the small contingent of Muslim infantry was able to occupy a hill on the left).
Recognizing that the rough terrain did not favour the Vikings or the Rus, and that they had limited bow and light cavalry available, the Spanish elected to deploy a maximum missile force, instead of seeking a different battle field. The Spanish infantry moved a couple of steps forward to a basic defensive position, while the skirmishers engaged the Rus missile troops, quickly demonstrating their superior numbers. On the Spanish right, their cavalry advanced, supported by more devastating fire from the skirmishers, and the Muslim light cavalry and skirmishers on the left whittled away at any units that came within range. Eventually the Vikings led a charge down the hills and into the waiting Spanish shield wall, but it was too late - their supporting missile troops and most of their cavalry had disintegrated.
Chris Townsend's Spanish 900 with Andalusian allies defeated wulf85's Rus 960 and Viking allies 40 to 7.
Thanks for the game!

Nijis (Poles) defeats ulysisgrunt (Florentines) 46-17.
Florence's Swiss mercenaries took the lead, crashing into a line of Polish war-wagons and routing them. The Polish knights and their lighter Lithuanian allies swept round the flanks, however, clashing with the Italians' mercenary knights. One keil's commander was struck down by a freak arquebus ball, however, allowing the Poles to push into the rear of the formation Amid the confused melee of horse and pike, the Florentine knights were isolated and cut down and the army gave way.
