We have reached 80 players, just 2 below the previous record set in Season 1. Classical Antiquity and the Themed Event are now full and I can only offer reserve places for these two sections. There are still 9 vacancies in Late Antiquity, 5 vacancies in Early Middle Ages and 2 vacancies in Biblical. I could still open a fourth division in Biblical if there was a sudden surge of players signing up over the weekend, but I think that is unlikely.

Do you have to nominate allies when you pick your armies. I did not see it stated in the rules for picking unless I missed reading it
Yes, you pick one set of allies at the start of the competition if you want to and then use the same allies in all 9 matches.

And pantherboy makes 82! So we have equalled the record set in Season 1 now.
Today I will send out reminder invitations and I expect to pick up a few more recruits over the weekend. Then it is normally the case that players will still apply in ones and twos as we move closer to the tournament start date. We have 6 divisions in Classical Antiquity; it looks like we might only have 5 divisions in Late Antiquity as we have been stuck on 51 players for a few days now; we are well on the way to getting 6 divisions in Early Middle Ages; Biblical looks like it will have 3 divisions again; and the Themed Event will have one pool of 12.
Themed Event group stage details here . . .

I will be holding the Group Stage draw on Sunday live here, as soon as I have finished the draw for the KO Tournament semi-finals (which will only take 5 minutes). The Themed Event group stage draw is unseeded, so anyone can be drawn in the same group together. I will draw out the 3 players for Group A first, then update the thread. Then I will draw out the 3 players for Group B and so on.

I am not sure now that we can reach 60 players for this section as we have been stuck on 51 for a couple of days. So I am going to have to say that there will definitely be 5 divisions and that any recruitment now is provisional until we reach 56 players. If we do reach 56 then I will definitely open up a sixth division and recruitment can then stay open beyond the tournament start date if necessary. There are always players seeking to join the tournament after we have started.

Once we get to 30 players (which is enough for 3 divisions) recruitment will be provisional until we get to 36 players. If we reach 36 players then I will open up a fourth division.
