2S3 is more like Akatsiya rather than Nona =) Wonder stat difference compared to "classic" 2S3 we used to have.

And camos are really fascinating. Anything on cosmetic front planned for Syria btw? It's dusty theater and all, but that orange Mi-25 definitely looking for some bright folks to hangout with =)
I didn't understand the point about the 2S3 and the Nona.
Hehe, I don't know about a camo theme for the Syrian campaign, Wurschtmaxe was really busy already working with these hundred of units :)

Best regards,

PS: Nice, 1.7 already has more than 1050 downloads. It seems the mod still has some popularity

Hello guys!

I'm new with this mod - are there any custom scenarios for download?

No, there is nothing more to download than the mod itself.
However, if you are new don't worry, the content is already big. You will be busy for a long time without the need the seek other custom scenarios. For now, you have 3 campaigns and various big scenarios.
Still, I've see that someone has posted a map of Ukraine with panzer corps engine last month. So maybe this user of the forum is working to create a scenario and we will have new content made by others. I had also myself tried to create scenario(s) about a fictionnal war between Greece and Turkey, but my modding skills are abysimaly low, so I've released nothing :p I often try to advance, but most of the time I facepalm myself asking "how can I be so bad with a computer?"

More seriously, Akkula is still the only one to have created scenarios for his mod.

Hello Akula,

I have not have been looking into the equipment file in a very detailed way, but could you consider to add (if not already present) some more units for Belgium:

Leopard I (BE)
Leopard 1A5(BE)
Gepard anti-aircraft tank (Flakpanzer Gepard)
Leopard 1 LEGUAN AVLB (armoured vehicle-launched bridge)
M113A1-B-ATK anti-tank
Pandur R&O (Recce & Observation)
Piranha 8x8 DF30
Piranha 8x8 DF90
GIAT LG1 (105 mm towed howitzer)
MO-120-RT (120 mm mortar)
Mistral man-portable air defence system

Thanks for your consideration.

Hi Tripo.
As far as I know nobody made custom scenarios using the mod. Of course that would be great :D

I am planning to add Turkey soon...so, why not? 8)

Update 1.8 will include a new scenario. But more proper content will come in Update 1.9

Hi Nico,
Wow, that's really a considerable list :P
I am curious as many of those vehicles are retired from the Belgian armed forces since many years ago already. I could add them and use them as "reserves" events in the big European scenario, why not?
The Pandur would a nice addition, even for the Austrian army.
I expect to go into full unit-creation mode after releasing Update 1.8

Manpads would have no too much relevance in the mod. Maybe, just maybe, they would be useful against helos. But again, I really doubt a player would spend prestige and core slots buying anti-air infantry when he or she could buy much better equipment. Most of the nations have mobile anti-air systems already.

Thanks everybody for the ideas :D

Best regards,
Akkula.

I know that the Leopards have been sold off and some were used for target practice. Nonetheless, i would love to see them in your mod.
Then, it would give me the opportunity to create a hypothetical mini-campaign :D
Theoretically i could already create this mini-campaign by grabbing the necessary units from other countries but the downside is that the player would not be able to purchase any.

The
CIA is buying MANPADS from Afghan terrorists for a million dollars for a Stinger, and is also looking for ways to block the launch of Stingers from space satellites

It is commonly believed that the main MANPADS in the hands of the Mujahideen were the Stinger, but this is a misconception. Statistically, the deadliest man-portable air defense systems were the British Bloepipe and Javelin.
Blowpipe had been used by Afghan opposition fighters since the fall of 1985. Supplies were carried out by MI6 together with the CIA.
It was designed to engage low-flying helicopters and aircraft, as well as lightly armored and unarmored enemy ground vehicles, and various watercraft.
In addition to the original man-portable model for infantry, there were developed towable models, modifications of the complex to be placed in the body, on the roof and in a rotating turret of vehicles and armored vehicles, onboard ships and hovercrafts, as well as submarines.
In addition, air-to-air guided missiles were developed on the basis of anti-aircraft guided missiles "Blope" to arm light reconnaissance helicopters.
In portable infantry and sea landing versions it was intended for use as a means of anti-aircraft defense of troops, but could also be used for air defense system echelon in combination with longer-range army or navy anti-aircraft missile systems.

Hello everybody,
The new update will be ready in the coming weeks. It will include 3 sub-mods for all those who enjoy maximum immersion:
- Realistic camos: real life camos for most of the nations units. By Wurschtmaxe.
- Insignias: units flags are replaced by their proper armed forces branch. By Arvidus.
- Full Immersion: a combination of the above. For real hardcore immersion lovers

Some samples of the Full Immersion mod:

Of course, these are optional and you will be able to activate them at your will. The "vanilla" mod will the default option as usual.

Can't wait for 1.8. All campaigns completed, not much to do except waiting for new content!

Also, something I noticed, the British Apache AH Mk. 1 doesn't have any sounds.

:D glad you enjoyed the mod.
Update 1.8 will be a small one. Just one new scenario and British AI added to the South Atlantic '82 scenario, and of course some improvements to the big European one.
The update is the excuse to introduce the immersion submods :)
However, update 1.9 will be HUGE.

I have a question for you guys, about the upcoming release. What do you prefer?
a) "All-Inclusive" release. Main Mod + all submods in a single big file (650mb aprox.)
b) Splitted release. Main Mod and submods distributed in separate files.

Best regards,
Akkula.
