I too, often find myself, after a nite out with the boys, firing up fog at 2 in the am... I usually am less than pleased with the results when I see the next turn the folloing day :)

BTW ? for you guys in Britain, is it difficult to procure beer etc after a certain time of day/evening? Dont mean from a bar or pub but from a liquor store , packy, whatever you call em!

There are no time restrictions (I think) other than shops being open. Most big supermarkets sell beer etc. and if they are open 24hours then it can be freely purchased at any time. What you call a liquor store we'd call an off-licence (i.e. a store licenced for off-sales... i.e. alcohol consumed off the premises), commonly known as an 'offy'. A store has to have a licence to sell alcohol.

The English & Aussie FOG players can be thankful they are not following the French at the World Cup... that would drive you to drink even more fine red wine. Talk about a team self-destruct. Wimbledon should be good, except that Sam Stosur is out 1st round. Cricket is not so interesting as Australia lost the first ODI to a combined Irish/South African team called England :)

I've noticed a tendency for my Ordonance Army to self destruct as well. Although its Swiss Pike seem good at kicking people, the rest seems inclined to go on strike.

I need a new army with some South American imports to back up my solid but unimaginative English.

See now I wanted to say "Isn't the Australian team of, predominantly, Irish descent?", but I decided not to...... :P

Important Marriage Announcement

The Covenanter's are pleased to announce that the last of my daughters are being married off to Michaelus of Morbius and we hope he and his new bride Missadah have many children and eternal happiness. She is being packed up now and it is with a tear in my eye that I send my last little flower off to her new home and new son in law

The nation of Eupatoria has deposed its tyrannical leader and its people have selected a new ruler and a new name for their realm.

The Republic of Hypoxia opens its doors to diplomats from all lands for discussions on alliances, marriages, and other issues to be decided over a dish of champaign and wings. Napkins will be provided.

Greetings, Noble Xiccarph

I hear talk of Alliance, Marriages and chicken wings. If you have need of a son-in-law look no further than this fine specimen that was the first of my loins, Noble, Upright, Occasionally Sober, what fine heirs he will sire.

Diplomacy ends this evening (midnight GMT).

I also need over the next few days any building plans for founding / improving cities or for PR events. These will only complete in the Fall.

PM me if you need to know your treasury balance.

After tonight I'll post the updated Players Table for all the new marriage and other alliances.

I believe Morbio's map to be correct - if you are at war anywhere else and it is not on the map then you must inform him please ASAP.

The idea from TheGrayMouser about being able to use the army from a blood ally's list met with no objections so I'm happy to make it official.

Events cards for all now being drawn plus I'll inform those who choose to maintain an army in the field of the new points.

Let me know if I've missed anything please.
