Geffalrus (Macedonians) defeats harveylh (Romans) 56-31

Not much to say - I got EXTREMELY lucky with my initial assault on his line. My veteran pikes attacked some thorakitai and double dropped them on impact, whereupon my nearby cavalry charged and they broke on contact. The neighboring thureophoroi units (one with general) failed their cohesion checks and double dropped, allowing my own medium infantry to run rampant. The rest of our armies hadn't even contacted yet, and harvey was already 18% in the hole. Like a true champ, he fought on, and when I got greedy with my pikes, he advanced into their open flanks and did what Romans do best. In the end, I got extremely lucky a second time, and got 15 points ahead through a timely rally by routed veteran pikes, combined with a flanked and fragmented normal pike passing cohesion checks that it really should have failed.

Good game to my opponent.
