Triarii - Spanish 900-1049AD with Andalusian allies 756-1049AD beats youngr - Arab, North Africa 789-999AD with Byzantine allies 963-987AD 47-10

Cavalry heavy Spanish were able to overwhelm the Arab cavalry and force Arab infantry into a long trek and uphill attack to try to intervene in time.
Lucky initial deployment for the Spanish.
Thanks to youngr for another good game.

Thanks for all. It wasn't easy to win this division. Almost every game was hard.

Division D

Macedonczyk (Indo-Greek) beat ggarynorman (Jewish) 56:25.

In the beginning I gained the advantage but exposed the massed archers too much who started to die one by one.
I started to feel like I was losing and my Cataphract, which was surrounded from all sides, was near to autobreak, when suddenly an elephant and a horse (which were in pursuing mode) made flank attack at the siegers, which changed the situation and allowed me to win this hard match and rescue Cataphract.

Division D

Macedonczyk (Jewish Revolt) beat ggarynorman Palmyrians 64:0

The result is totally out of real situation.
In fact, until the last 2 turns there were fierce fights. The sky was dark from the arrows (my half army was skirmishes, my opponent also had many skirmishes and 6 massed archers). Only then the tired enemy units started serial breaks and my units make opposite: routed Zealots rallies.

Division B

Schweetness101 - Andalusian 756-1049AD defeats Questar17 - Byzantine 988-1041AD with Georgian allies 1008-1049AD: 60 - 42

Very good and close game with Questar. Byzantines went on a wide right flank with lots of cav while defending a large hill in their mid right, but Andalusia refused that left and charged forward with a concentration of veteran spears on their right. Varangians and Cataphracts held out for a long time and there were many losses all around, but ultimately the Byzantine left collapsed before the Andalusian left.

harveylh aka "the camel thief" - Arab 1000-313BC outpoints ianiow - Syracuse 550-461 BC with Libyan allies 549-301BC, 63-61

An epic battle that ended on the very last turn. So as the sun set on the battlefield, all the camels had died along with most of both armies. Indeed neither army had the will to carry on!

Division D

Macedonczyk (Indo-Greek) beat Barrold713 (Roman with Pergamene) 43:15

Because of the hill in the middle of the map I had to direct my forces mainly at the wings. Unlike most battles here, I didn't win the skirmishes battle and the enemy fired hard to the end, which made it difficult for my units to operate, especially elephants. And as in other matches of this division, most of the units mainly distracted the enemy and tried flank attacks and the main attacks was taken by Catphracts and Elephants.
