It is between Snugglebunnies (Byzantine) and the rapidly improving Morbio (Roman) for second place, while there are 4 players at the bottom desperately seeking their first win to move away from the drop zone. The draws keep coming in Division B with over a third of matches finishing that way so far (11 out of 32). Cunningcairn (Roman) has finished on 19 points but that total is likely to be overtaken by both lydianed (Sassanid) and Questar17 (Gepid) who are still both unbeaten. At the bottom IMC (Moorish) has finished on just 8 points giving hope to oscarius (Germanic Foot Tribes) and Challenge1 (Hunnic Western) that they can overtake that total with the games they have left. Just the minor places up for grabs in Division C after ConstantinIX's crushing win and SawyerK (Kingdom of Soissons) looking most likely now to take the runners-up spot. Garokan (Scots-Irish) and rs2excelsior (Palmyran) are still looking for their first points. Something had to give in Division D and it was vvanttin (Germanic Horse Tribes) who decisively prevailed in the match-up with fellow-challenger Macedonczyk (Jewish Revolt) leaving him requiring just 4 points from his last 2 matches to win automatic promotion. Hyde77 (Bosporan) has recovered well after losing his first 2 matches to record 6 successive wins to go second, Macedonczyk is third and ggarynorman (Palmyran) also has 3 wins from 4 starts to remain in the contest.

Wins this week for both unbeaten players in Division A where harveylh (Andalusian) still leads Nosy_Rat (Byzantine) by 8 points. melm has been replaced by Triarii in this division. Schweetness101 (Andalusian) has recorded his sixth straight win to move ahead of Cunningcairn (Frankish) at the top of Division B by dint of playing one game less so far. The contest looks to be between these 2 players although paulmcneil is still unbeaten as well. The 2 unbeaten players in Division C, pompeytheflatulent (Byzantine) and lunecastle (Anglo-Saxon), fought out a very closely contested draw which means that pompeytheflatulent will win automatic promotion if he secures a 4 point win against remf220 (Norman) in his last match. In Division D Macedonczyk (Arab Conquest) now just needs 6 points from his last 3 matches following a stunning 40-0 victory over baldrick52 (Viking Ireland), the current leader.

Geffalrus (Rajput) and desertedfox (Byzantines) tied 33-38

Spent most of the match staring in envy at the Byzantine fortified defensive position on the hill. Did my best to try and march around a flank, but forests infested with skirmishers made that almost impossible. Eventually, a skirmish on the left flank precipitated a general clash along the whole line. Night came on, however, before anything decisive could be acheived.
