Here are some modifications :
- new nato symbol : assault gun (StuG IIIA)
- you can better distinguish the tactical bomber (Ju87B with one line at the top) of strategic bomber (Do17Z with two lines at the top)

SdKfz 231 it's truck based or the icon is just for telling it's a transport ?
Good work anyway you know
Edit: Nevermind, i've confused it with the 251

The symbol below and to the left represents only the type of movement (The same symbol as that used by the game).
At the beginning, it can be misleading.

Hi,
A good war simulation (aka wargame) needs
abstraction...
it is my deep conviction.
But I like all the same a little of graphics. more boardgame's style.

Don't get me wrong, try opening a thread to show us your mod and we will see how it works.
I do prefer the style with numbers that terminator is working on, but those counters can work very well with equipment files that change, so you do not depend on the numbers that much.

The first one wargame about ww2 whom I played was sicily'43.
My work bases itself on this game.

The mod will go out with three versions:
- the current version with the names of units and the numbers
- a version with only the names of units (for more abstraction)
- a version with only the numbers (for more reality)
- (maybe a fourth version without the names of units and the numbers for extreme abstraction)
Here is the version with only the names of units:

Names only for me

.
Just curious how it looks if an aircraft and a land unit are stacked.

Vanilla Game
- When an air unit is selected it is shown bigger, and when the land unit is selected the air one is sent to the background smaller.
With this mod and the transparent backgrounds i think it will work the same but we can see the land unit behind
Time to show us more pics

Well, you ask a question which represents the main difficulty. The problem is that the air units are always shown over the ground units. It causes problems when the air unity is supposed to be underneath.
Here is the solution that I found acceptable after various tests :
1.The air unit is over the land unit (no problem):

2.The air unit is under the land unit (problem):
