				Victory for Parliament
Parliament's Army, which I had the honor to lead defeated the Royalist lackeys of Ironclad by a score of 29% to 56%.
The victory was decided by a grinding infantry battle in the center in which our troops crushed their foot.
Our cavalry showed great promise as they almost held their own...
Our foot needs to be better trained. One or our foot units was directly to the rear of a Royalist horse unit that was engaged frontally by our horse which desperately fought them to a draw even though they were downhill of the cavaliers. Our foot sat their idly as if at a sporting event unable either to pitch in to the rear of a frontally engaged horse unit, or to fire in to the melee.

Whereabouts are we in this? Still waiting on some first battles to finish?
I've heard from 3 of our team for the second set of battles.

For the next turn it might be wise to set a deadline of "battles to be finished within seven days" or some such.

Just waiting on Scotland at the moment. I'm glad that people are keen to progress - I will in future put an estimated turn finish date for people to aim for.

Since we are waiting here is a provisional map minus the awaited Scottish results. Comes with a health warning that these are based on my analysis of outcomes and are subject to keyth's official results. Btw keyth looking at your intro I assume 8 is the maximum sentiment possible.

Pre-Turn map for comparison. The mood of the country seems to have polarised more....

8 is was the initial design maximum but the numbers may be tweaked in future, as I learn how the numbers stack up.

Scotland fighting hard for Parliament but the King's men should carry the day in both High & Low Lands.
We had a slow start and have a 12 hour time delay to contend with as well.

I did not realise that Scotland was in a different time zone.

				Different century

I totally understand about playing across time zones-I'm keen for this to be a low stress and inclusive campaign

as long as we know that things are progressing, that's plenty good enough for me.

				Battle in Scottish Lowlands finished.
The Scots lost 42% and the King's men just 4%.
Being lowlands the map consisted of a large open area with some hills and woods in one of the corners. The Scots deployed their army in these hills and woods, while I deployed my men in a long line in the open. The Scots decided to stay in the hills and woods so I advanced, being fired at by three artillery batteries. But soon my men were in position and could start shooting. The fiercest fightings took place on the flanks, especially on my left flank. On my right I had some reinforcements arriving just in time to intercept a couple of Scottish cavalry units trying to go a around my flank.
The result doesn't reflect the situation on the battlefield as many of my units were disrupted or worse.
Thanks for a good game!

Highlands defeated in a long and heavily contested battle where the King's muskets withering fire did for us.
Scottish Quartermaster General has been outed from his position after supplying the army with cheap powder bought from some dodgy Dutchman..
King's men 36%, Scots 61%

So here is the completed Early 1642 map showing control/sentiment. Again subject to keyth's confirmation of the results.

I should have the 'official' results available shortly! Get your troop dispositions to your CiC soonest and we can get late 1642 underway (hastily sends troop dispositions to CiC).

Could I request that you skip me when it's time for me to be CiC? I think there are many better qualified than I!

Please include me as well.
I have posted elsewhere ( by mistake ) that IMHO the CnCs should be leading the team for the entire campaign ( unless there is a coup of course

 ).
