It depends of the BG you are moving. Defenders have terrain advantage (ambush possibilities) and all flags except for one are theirs,

So, if you're a defender, you'll start with your units over about 80% of the map, and the attacker will start with 20% or less?

Those changes sound sensible... So, if we lose a Firely, we lose a Firely... Going to have to be v careful with our armour, especially with your eighty 75mm Pak40s and fifty 88mms hiding out there!... Seeing those massive German tank numbers per BG, in the Rulebook, makes me wonder how we'll do this, lol... We're definitely going to need more frequent Typhoon refresh!

Hi G, How's it going with Mike in Merville? Almost done yet? We're itching to move into June 6th PM...
Was thinking about your reduction in mortar crews from 4-men to 3-men...
How many men are there in your AT infantry Piat teams? Can these actually take out a Tiger or Panther now? They're next to useless in ordinary BA... There's a small imbance in HMGs versus AT infantry, where Germans have 60 HMGs and Allies 25, but Allies have 120 Piats and Germans 90 Panzershrek... it would balance out perfectly if AT infantry can actually take out a German heavy tank... but it wouldn't balance if Allied AT infantry are still useless, but 5-man German HMGs prove lethal against our grunts...

I think we can end our battle tonight or tomorrow.
Inf AT has 4 men. Piat can can take out a Tiger or Panther with a side or rear shot (more than 50% penetration, 63% if memory doesn't fail), even has a little chance to destroy in a frontal shot (less than 15% I think to remember...). All values are refered to 1 tile range of course.

That's great news. Sounds like you've managed to recreate the "damaged the tracks or engine to the point where the crew decide to bail" factor that BA hasn't (yet!

).
Somehow I suspect that these little Piats are rapidly going to become my best friends, to be protected at all costs...

@Granfali, Where are you getting these maps from? Are you designing each one from scratch prior to every game. They're really very good... and you're doing it very fast!

Most of them are based in another maps. Only some modifications to give an aspect based on GJS Maps for CC5.
I will make them as we need for battles.

Didnt think was going to be able to pull that off in the end before time ran out. Lots of units had casualties...was a tough go...lol

Is there a similar "closed envelope" system that we can swap our BG orders at exactly the same time?
The Allied commanders will give to me, and then you & I can swap at X hours precisely...

Not neccesary, I'll send you a file with german orders (password protected), you send me british orders and finally I give you the password. That is the process.

@Granfali, Thanks for the German orders, which I've passed on to the troops... they're as curious as I am.

Question which may affect our future moves: Can there be more than one action in a section per turn? For example, if 3/6 and 6AL/6 both attack Colombelles, would 192/21Pz have to fight 3/6, and then fight 6AL/6? Or is only 3/6 (highest and rightmost) allowed to make the move, and 6/AL6 is forced to stay where it is?
