Burinus and Grudge have some unfinished business to attend to. We pray the Senate in it's infinite wisdom will assign us a time and place to end this matter.
(I have had a hard time keeping the members of the Vaulted GrudgeBringer Cavalry out of the brothels that the Tribunes are supposed to be cleaning up!!

Rumors on the streets tell that after a savage conflict, the bloody remains of Tribune tullius' gangs were driven away by the forces loyal to Tribune Tiavals. If it were not for the timely courage of several squads, the slave pens would be full of his people.
Citizens are fearful of going near the slave market during the night, as whispers of a conflict between Fedem and Tiavals have been brewing. Some claim the battle has started already, in the shadowy streets.

ATTENTION
Roman Senate announces:
Due to the defeats of our Legions in the east, our honour is at stake.
The Senate of Rome is reluctant to assign a Dictator is this situation.
Fortunately we persuaded our retired veteran commanders Ericdoman and The Gray Mouser to return from Carthage, where they spent a much too peaceful life in the past.
Ericdoman and The Gray Mouser will be assigned to the rank of a Proconsul for a limited period.
Several roman commanders will be ordered to exercise tactics with our veteran Generals to form more effective armies in order to defeat our foes finally.
All commanders, that return defeated from Syria, all Tribunes that have been defeated on the streets of Rome and all Aediles regardless of their battle results have to fight a training battle against both of the new Proconsuls.
In the future Proconsul Ericdoman and The Gray Mouser will from two new Proconsular armies with 4 Legions each. The Legatus that have been assigned to command Legions of the respective armies will contact the Proconsuls during the battle to ask for orders (the Proconsul will receive screenshots from the respective Legatus and give advices )
Resulting from our defeats,in the Provinces of Sicily, Asia and Illyria we
are challenged by the revolts of Slaves. Each of the Governors ( commands Romans) will be challenged by TJD ( Slaves).

To the Senate and People of Rome,
The slave rebellion in Sicily has been defeated and the survivors returned to their owners. Nearly 6,000 slaves were killed in battle at the cost of 2,500 Roman lives. This is a triumph of Roman arms by the sons of the Republic.
Pro-Praetor Kilroy, Governor of Sicily

Bravo! Bravo! A fine show of valor to crush that rebellion. I applaud you.
The demand, and thus price, of slaves will surely go up due to this great tragedy. The battle against the chaotic gangs of the streets still rages. Who will hold the slave market in the end?

I must say I was becoming a little bit bored of Carthage.
Good to be back and awaiting orders.
I salute you

Hail General Ericus
The VII Legion welcomes you back in this time of crisis. Due to the influx of conscripts i fear the standard of the Legion has slipped and our recent loss has depleted us of many of our best troops. We await your instruction .

Hail Legatus Turk
I am afraid due to having a number of years of wine, women and song. My brain is somewhat addled.
Having read the above manuscript. I am still not entirely certain what I have to do.
Are we to have a discussion on tactics, if so. Advance forward, engage enemy, maintain pursuit, slaying as many of the dogs as possible (you do not wish them to come back and bite you again) and enslaving the remainder.
Or are we to have some non-violent strategic battle of some kind.
I haven't had a glass of wine for nearly 1 movement of the dial (approx 1 hour) and possibly that is the reason why.
I believe I will have to find the nearest baths and sweat the damn stuff out of me. 24 turns of the dial and I should be right as rain.
Could someone please inform me in quite simple terms what I need to do.
You'll find me in the baths, BTW are the baths of the mixed variety, good musicians, I hope and no alcohol.

I have to say I'm not quite clear on what Demetrios intends for Eric and TGM. He mentioned an army of 4 legions, and that's something we haven't seen in this tournament. We all await a clarification of this most recent senatus consulatum. Unfortunately, he's across the Rhine, so we may have to wait a few hours. I'll ring his bell.
Best,
Tim

Greeting fellow Pro-Prolactic, hiccup... I too am bemused by the orders the senators have put forth.... perhaps its the wine or from my current condition of brothel-itus. , However I do understand this:
We are to train certian Roman commanders (to be found page 1, 4th post in this scroll) unfortunate enough to have been shagged by the shaggies or whom are still in far off lands and obviously exempt.
Rome has assigned preset orders of battle in our army too use ( found as a downloadable link , page 3)
We are to arrange challenges with those designated as above.
What is not clear from Rome is if we are to fight these battles using the reciprical preset Roman armies.
If so, and if I was an ounce more cynical I would suggest that these are only going to train ambitious Romans on how to defeat rivals rather than how to defeat barabrians.....
Awaiting more clear orders
T.G.M.

Ah TGM
Good to hear from you.
Hopefully the special ointment I have given you has cleared that unseemly rash.
AND WHY WAS I NOT INFORMED ABOUT THE BROTHEL
Orders. Still not used to receiving them.
Well I will peruse the scroll in a bit more detail.
My eyesight isn't what it used to be but that Carthage wine was good stuff.
I do not like the end of your scroll (good papyrus by the way, where did you purchase it). I wish to fight the true enemies of Rome rather than some internal bickering over who knows what.
Grumpy, Wine besotted, who the hell is this little upstart.
He deserves a damn good thrashing. Although having heard avrious rumours recently, he might like that.

Dear Wine-Besotted Retired Generals: I serve too many roles. I have to spend my time masquerading as Gordias, then as king of the Cilicians, and now as Slave commander in 3 separate revolts! And I'm sure I'm forgetting a battle or two. I have an identity crisis. I've lost track, chaps. But I honestly don't know what Demetrios is planning. As for Eric and TGM, I've seen nothing more than what he posted earlier today.
Best,
Tim
