Unexpected job problems are going to take me away for at least 7-10 days, wich means that I won't be able to launch or accept challenge in the meantime.

Sorry for the delay it will cause to the speed of the campaign but the other battles may go ahead and the players who are expecting the lottery draws should be anyway able to look at the results in this site:
http://www.lottomaticaitalia.it/home/index.html
finding out the opponent reading the rules in the appropriate thread.

Good fight everybody! :(

Judaea is revolting

I checked the results of the lottery draw (Milano 87) and reading the rules I think the alliance is in act and the oppressed people of Judaea is revolting against the hated ptolemaics (batesmotel).
If you confirm me that I will set up the game with my Later Jewish Hyrcanus army within today.

Cheers
Stef

Since there is no invasion event in Judaea this turn, I don't think there are any oppressed people for you to lead there ;-). Of course I'll fight if Lysimachos confirms this is how alliances actually work.

I don't think there is an official ruling from Lysimachos. That probably makes it optional and I'm fine with using it for our two battles if you are. In the LW campaign, the final decision was to leave it up to the challenger to turn it on or off if both players hadn't agreed. That would probably work for Mare Nostrum as well.

Gallic victory

After putting up a fierce (if unlucky) defense, the Pannonians (Pyrrhic) were defeated by the naked Gallic fanatics. One leader died outright and the CnC's unit was routed and eliminated in place which I assume means the CnC was captured of killed.

Results:

Gallic: 38/48
Pyrrhic: 43/43

Hi everybody!
Finally I’m back, though only for one week (having then 15 days of holydays).

As I can see the battle in Pannonia is ended with a Gallic victory.
Any news about the fight in Aetolia and Thessalia between the Macedonians and the Ptolemaics?

About the alliance tried by razorback with the Judaeans it isn’t an event but just a diplomatic action and, given the result of the lottery was 87, the attempt has succeeded and he has the right to lead the Judaeans against the Ptolemaics, so may launch the challenge against batesmotel.

About the attack of the Carthaginians against the Meliteans, the defenders will be led by razorback with an Illiryan army, given that the lottery draw on the Bari column was 63, so the attacker may launch the challenge.

As for myself the lottery draw on the Napoli column was 71, so the alliance with the Paeonians (Illyrians) has succeeded and I’ve launched the challenge to george123, as the one against razorback for the attack in Bruttium.
At the same time I’m waiting the challege of petergarnett for the attack in Bithynia and that of george123 for the attack in Mysia.

The Macedonian army was beaten back in Thessalia

Macedonians 11700/5555 39/46
Ptolemaics 13200/2866 21/44

As a minor correction, the Ptolemaic AP should be 44/21 (lost 21 out of 44) for the battle in Thessalia..

I need to issue the challenge still for the battle in Aetolia.

If I'm not wrong and if it is true that the Macedonians lost the battle, the ptolemaic result is correctly reported by george, while it has to be amended the Macedonian one, that should be 49/36 (49 lost out of 36)

All the other numbers george gave were initial/loses for both men and APs. Mine was listed inconsistently. At any rate the Macedonians lost.

As I wrote the 26th July you have to lead the Judeans against the Ptolemaics.
If you'll win the battle the province will become independent.
Have a nice fight!

The darkness now covers two battlefields, slippery for the amount of blood spilt during the fight and full of trounced bodies, lost weapons and broken shields ..

In Mysia the proud Macedonian host has been repulsed from the attacked province by the "New Model Seleucid Army" just in the final stages of a vicious clash, while in Paeonia the local tribes have victoriously revolted against their previous masters hacking to pieces their ranks in a carnage favoured by the nature of the rough terrain.

Mysia
Seleucids 41/44 Macedonians 44/43

Paeonia
Paeonians 30/58 Macedonians 49/48
