Hi All
At this moment in time, I believe. We have 3 x USA teams, 3 x UK teams, 2 x Chinese teams, 2 x Italian teams, 2 x French teams and 1 x NZ team, whom we have had confirmation from
We are still waiting on 1 x UK team, 1 x French, 1 x Spanish, 1 x Chinese, 1 x Commonwealth/ROTW and 2 x ROTW teams
We will need confirmation and what has been asked for by 1st September, otherwise we will bring in new players.
This means we have, hopefully, 20 teams
In order for us to have organised these teams we have had to use reserves form a number of teams, it will also allow these players to play.
We should specify that there will be a reserve pool. This pool enables any team to use a player if required
We may well need the reserves of all teams in order for us to have 22 or 24 teams.
If we do have 22 teams we may well have a 5 round Swiss System, which will not help a number of players.
For us to hit 24 teams we will need your help. Quite a few of you are playing in the present Slitherine tournaments and or The Divisional Championships. Some of you may have already told your opponents about the WTC 2023. If not then please do so. Take note of the countries who are already taking part so ideally we would want players from other nations.
Cheers
Angus, Mike, Konstantin and Eric

The Spanish team is already constituted.
We formed it myself (period 4), Indibil (period 2), Garokan, Jtrillodmp (period 3) and Frenetico (period 1). Im the captain of the group, Garokan is the reserve.
The image is the chargue of the three kings of the navas of Tolosa Battle:
The name of the group is "Desperta ferro", the war cry of the almogávares.

USA Team - Pershing's Pikes

- USA.png (553.6 KiB) Viewed 1892 times
Period 1 - 2500 to 701 BC - nyczar
After 4,786 hours, FOG never gets old and I am happy to carry the flag for the USA as part of Pershing's Pikes. None of the other 53 titles in my steam library are as engrossing for me as FOG II. After playing one form of board game or PC game after another, I bought the FOG table top rules book in 2008 and only dreamed of painted men-at-arms, respectful banter, good beer, and yelling at dice. I was all in when FOG2 was released and I am looking forward to representing the flag in a contest for worldwide bragging rights!
Period 2 - 700 to 100 BC - klayeckles
Klay or Uber klay depending on your perspective (klayeckles) is a semi-retired City Engineer that grew up on tabletop wargames to survive the harsh Minnesota winters and has played FOG for 20 years starting with tabletop. When tabletop FOG came out he became a founding member of the Barbarian Lead Junkies, and pushed lead until FOG 1 arrived. The computer versions of FOG are so good it's hard to go back to pushing lead...so it might just have to be converted into lead sinkers for the fishing box!
Period 3 - 400 to 1000 AD - Geffalrus
I continue to enjoy FoG2 as it is perhaps the best battle simulation game for the ancient and medieval time periods I've yet found. Apparently I'm still relatively new to this game as I've only been active in it for a few years and never played the tabletop. But in that short amount of time I managed to do pretty well in the Digital League A division as a commander of Antigonid pike armies and Polish early medieval forces. Last WTC I captained one of the USA national teams, but this year I am more than happy to serve under Harvey and focus on maximizing the effectiveness of my shieldwalls and lancers.
Period 4 - 1320 to 1500 AD – harveylh
Harvey has been wargaming for over 40 years including original FOG with miniatures at many Historicon conventions and WRG 7th edition/DBM/FOG tournaments across the US. Then he was introduced (corrupted?) to multiplayer FOG2/Digital League by ulysisgrunt. Like Klay no longer pushing lead figures!
