Triarii with Andalusians defeats Mairtin's Vikings 63-31.

Similar result in both our games with Andalusian missiles and lights making keeping any Viking shield-wall very difficult.
Though serial Viking rallies in this one gave the quality huscarls an opportunity to deal significantly more damage to the Andalusians.

Minoan vs Babylonian.
tyronec defeats LuciusSulla 41-15.
Tough match up for the Minoans, the other battle is looking to go the same way.

Div I

Divm (Spartans 460-281 BC) defeats DirtyMark (Carthaginians 410-341 BC).

Result: 47/20

Key movement of the Spartan light cavalry that distracted most of the superior Carthaginian cavalry from the main battle for enough time for the Spartan phalanxes to do their work. Good game to my opponent.

In the murderous mud of North European marshes, SawyerK won two difficult matches against Hari72.

SawyerK leading the Thracian Triballi army against Hari72's Dacians finished at 63 to 45.

SawyerK leading the Dacians against Hari72's Thracians resulted in a 61 to 42 score.

The matches were hard fought and in both each side won a flank and then moved into the center for the finale. My thanks to Hari72 for two good games.

Division F.

AKvGoeben (Hindu Indians) defeats IMC (Ghaznavids) 38-61.

Absolutely chaotic battle that sort of defies explanation but the Indian elephants, with the support of massed archers and close fighters, including some fanatical resistance from the latter, were able to defeat the Ghaznavid Dailami infantry, muslim lancers and more or less all over the Ghaznavid elephants, eventually resulting in victory.

Good game to IMC and well played!

ulysisgrunt (Hittites) defeated Rockmanbob123 (Egyptians) 63-35

Div A

Rosedelio (Roman) defeats LuciusSulla (Slave Revolt) 55-30

As the slaves made a wide flanking maneuver, the Roman mediums defeated some slaves hiding in the marshes. This allowed the rest of the army to redeploy to meet the flankers.

Div C

Triarii with Arab (Abbasid) just defeats XLegione's Andalusians 61-52.

An excellent close contest where the Andalusians destroyed the Arab centre with missiles and spears but lost their left and right flanks to cavalry and veteran dailami at a similar rate. Thanks to XLegione for a great game again.

I noticed a possible result missing in my Division

gfs26 (Macedons) vs frederic02 (Thracian Triballi) 45-61 L, frederic02 won the battle

Div H

Alexhstandish (Arab Conquest) beat RussellGardener1964 (Avar) 52:27.

Tough fight for the Arabs in open desert terrain. The Arabs swung around their spearman line and attacked aggressively with spears and cavalry to try and minimise the Avar archery.

Rosedelio (Slave Revolt) defeats LuciusSulla (Roman) 60-58

The Slave Revolt used the marshes to delay their collapse as mobs slowly flanked around the Roman left. A good number of returning slave routers helped with the last stages of the battle.

And this is my last HOML match this season. Thanks again to tyronec for hosting.

markleslie Fatimid Egyptian 978-1073 AD defeats carpenkm Khorasanian 821-1003 AD 45-20.

That's me done for HOML 6, thanks to my opponents for making me work and thanks to the Organiser for another excellent tournament. I think HOML is a great format and look forward to many more.

Div C

Triarii with Arab (Bedouin) defeats angusosborne's Sassanids 66-48.

An excellent close contest which descended into a chaos of intermixed cavalry wheeling all over the map. The Arabs were just able to avoid the Persian elephants and missile troops enough while isolating and picking off horse archers with the mobile Bedouin cavalry. Thanks to Angus for a really interesting army list choice and two great games (second result pending).

Ray552 (Achaemenid Persian 553-546 BC) defeats random27 (Skythian 750-551 BC), 41-7
