Mersa Matruh

Mersa Matruh seemed well defended so I added an artillery unit on the battlefield :





PS: for the first time I encountered a bug. At the beginning of the game during the AI turn, I was entitled to a return on the windows desktop (artillery shooting ?).
I reloaded the last savegame(autosave) then I was able to continue without problem.

After checking, there is no error in the scenario. It is a glitch of the game which also happens to me while playing but rarely, and not only restricted to modded content.

Development continues. One more scenario to create, than i post another update.

Since i am not entirely sure that i can release three new scenarios before Christmas, this earlier update.
The campaign has been updated to v1.2
As usual, the download can be found in the first post of this thread.

Changes:

- Fixed DV requirements for scenario Monastir
- New scenarios: Constantine and Algiers (MV/Loss path after El Alamein and DV at Tunesian Bridgehead)
- German Localization! German translation of briefings, mission objectives and in-game messages for all scenarios of v1.1, with the courtesy of maho1973

One scenario remains to be done for the MV/Loss path after El Alamein. Afterwards i can start finishing up the campaign with the last set of scenarios after a DV at El Alamein.

I am currently on the tenth mission (Operation Compass) with the previous version of the campaign. Do I have to start the campaign all over again to play new scenarios or can I just continue to play new scenarios ?

Savegames should not be affected after installing the update.

I have the initial release installed, which files shall I replace to get this update working (and the next ones, of course)?

When there is an update I simply replace all the files without asking myself any question.
On the other hand I think that the changes can only be applied during the following scenario so maybe you have to download the savegame of the last turn of the previous scenario to be sure to play the last version of the scenario ?

All files can be updated/overwritten without problem.

That is correct.
And i have learned the hard way, about 9 years ago, that a campaign file cannot be altered just like that

The campaign has been updated. This is the last update for the holidays.

Changes:
- New scenario: Morocco (the final scenario in the MV/Loss path after El Alamein, the DV path after Tunesian Bridgehead)
- Corrected a unit error in the scenario Tunesian Bridgehead
- Added a txt file with the hidden capturables throughout this campaign in the download file
- The mod includes my expanded vanilla based equipment file. If you don't want to use it, simply delete it from the data folder.

Operation Compass


I had no problems until now and I told myself that I could try to have a Decisive Victory. But I realized after a while that it was impossible to have a Decisive Victory and I then tried to evacuate my forces but it was too late


A defeat did not prevent me from continuing in the campaign but I quickly stopped playing the following scenario Beda Fomm because I had too many losses at this scenario Operation Compass
