ConstantinIX - Roman 24BC–196AD with Jewish allies 64BC-6AD beats General Shapur - Sassanid Persian 350-476AD with Kushan allies 130BC-476AD 41-5.
On a flat desert map, Roman adopted a defensive stance with a square and persians valiantly tried to disrupt it. But aggressive skirmishes play with unflinching moral of the roman prevailed

ConstantinIX - Roman 24BC–196AD with Jewish allies 64BC-6AD beats phoyle3290 - Lombard 493-567AD 45-7.
Roman legios rushed forward to engage the brittle warbands and succeeded in disbanding them before double flanking maneuver could relieve them . An early demise of the enemy C-in-C leading the only victorious "first contact warband" (with double drop cohesion !) was a strong lucky beginning advantage.

Our first winner of the season is newcomer ConstantinIX who has used his Roman army (24BC–196AD) to great effect winning 8 matches (and drawing the other one) to win automatic promotion from Division C of Late Antiquity. Well played ConstantinIX.

paulmcneil will be away for around 2 weeks. All his current opponents have been notified and no claims for matches under Rule 6 will be accepted. If you have issued a challenge to Paul and the match has not started yet then he will pick start the game soon after he has returned.
