Sometimes, you play smart and win. Sometimes, you play lucky and win. Sometimes, you do both, and your opponent rallies a phalanx and an elephant on his last chance, and you have to fight on to narrowly win. This game was like the last one.

The weak Nubian center of low grade spears and archers fell back quickly, but their cavalry caused quite an issue on the Byzantine right; luckily it didn't get to cause much damage in time. Well fought by the Nubians, GG!

Great game. Our Sarmatian allies swept away the German left flank, while the warbands broke the Roman left flank. We both swiftly repositioned to meet in the middle, and I had a handy lead, but the Germans had a great last couple of turns to make it a draw. Thank you to Rob123

A great game to finish on. Very similar armies made for a close match up. I nearly won it in the early stages with enough victories from the light battles and victories in the central rough ground with infantry and some lively work by my knights on the right flank. The Berbers then made a fabulous flanking charge that wiped out 4 units in one turn. All bets were off as my knights were charging in all directions without any control. Some luck on pursuit charges meant that I eventually clawed my way back to a victory, but it was a very close run thing. The Berbers made excellent use of their camels and some great tactical work with their infantry and cav combining to make life very difficult. Luckily for me the Castillian knights eventually returned to the fray and won it for me in the end. See you all in the next season.

Map allowed the Alans to be split into two halves and then boxed into terrain cul de sacs.

Germans and Poles arrived infantry heavy.
This time the Abbasid foot were defeated earlier and had all gone home by mid battle. This was followed by a long trudge by German infantry and Polish archers to finally chase down enough Ghilman and Horse Archers before night fall.
