wzfcns french defeat GeneralKostas German 11 - 53
There is a large highland on the left side of the battlefield and a small highland on the right side. The French crossbowmen occupied the small highland on the right, and the devastating charges launched by the French knights from the front and the large highland drove the Germans out of the battlefield.

				wzfcns french defeat Asterix_von_TWC Aragoneseļ¼20-46.
The infantry of both sides were deployed on the highland on the left, while the cavalry were positioned on the plain on the right. The infantry of the Aragonese army almost wiped out the French infantry, but the French cavalry achieved victory on the main battlefield.

Division A, two victories to report:
oscarius Samnite 355-272 + Gallic 300-101 allies beats tyronec Thracian (Roman Client) 50 BC - 46 AD: 63-47
The Thracian infantry of the right flank crumbled quickly before the Samnite impact foot. The pseudo-Roman imitation legions of the centre and left proved tougher opponents but were eventually overwhelmed by the massed Samnite foot.
Well-played!
oscarius Samnite 355-272 + Gallic 300-101 allies beats Challenge1 Achaemenid Persian 545-481 + Skythian or Saka 550-301 allies: 54-24
The Samnite line advanced through harrowing Persian fire but eventually found their target and beat them down. Persian heavy chariots complicated the advance requiring some infantry and skirmishers to be held up to block them. The real stars of the show were the cavalry who fought to the bitter end in blocking their superior Persian counterparts from encircling the infantry line. I quite cruelly sacrificed cheap units to get my line to the Persian bowmen in one piece and distract the Iranian cavalry but it worked out for me in the end.
Good game!

Honestly one more elephant falling on top of a wagon could have changed the course of the battle but my charging tin cans routed the insane number of massed archers and won the day.

Rockmanbob123 anglosaxons defeated Ryaid Arabs 62-34
The Arabs brought an impressive list of infantry to the field but not enough horse and camels. The Anglosaxon mounted huscarls were sacrificed protecting their own left flank from the Arab horse while their heavy infantry rolled over the muslim speamen on the right.

rockmanbob123 Moors were able to outlast Asterix_von_TWC Romans 61-44
On a wide open battlefield the nimble light horse of the Moors, peppered the late imperial legionaries with arrows and the battle spread out to wide open melees. in the end the the vast number of light horse were successful and the roman commander had to fall on his sword.

The rolls went my way, and the flat ground allowed for the closing of space before bolts and artillery could make a mark. A little swamp on the flank helped.
