Meeting the Phangorians

We are protective of our most tasty provinces.

We will intercept your invasion in Hauran.

For all potential aggressors, The Clan has a standing policy to ALWAYS counter-invade if we are attacked, and not to stop the war until we have captured 2 provinces of the enemy. Nothing personal, just standard operating procedure.........

Please remember though that you can only fight the same player in a single area at a time, i.e. counter invades are after the campaign for the first area concludes.

Tramp Trampled
No sooner had CharlieChap put down his 11th wife than he was rudely assaulted by many hands. With 4 defeats including the loss of his holiday home in Lemnos his only solice is a victory against the Canaanites. Can he stem the flood in time against so many enemies?

Rhodes Falls
The ruling house of Rhodes is no more. The people, after defeating him in battle, decided to express their feelings through the medium of mime - they silently hung him. So it's a sad farewell to ianiow who will descend into the depths of Hades after finishing any current battles.

Too Much Water
Despite many good victories the noble Clan of the Braveheart have risked the wrath of the gods by getting decidely lost in their lands. Having lost Glenlivet to the Crimeans they appear to be trying to defend it again against the Egyptians. One of us is taking a drop too much water in his drink - please clarify.

Hope Triumphs Over Experience
The Canaanites again try to migrate into new lands but find the locals unsocial and unwilling to accept squatter rights - 3 defeats in a row for the chosen ones

Rumours of War
Apparently Rhome and Revoltus are at war and have met in battle. Sadly with no details of where or who is attacking who the gods begin to sharpen a couple of thunderbolts - please clarify so I can do the army points etc.

Milk & Ambrosia Missing
A quantity of pantherboys special potions of victory went missing as he moved house upwards - does the slow but sure progress of Phanagoria or of Crimea with their recent victories add upto four

Drawn Together
Rome and Morbius remain locked in war after a rare draw in battle - neither of these two ruling houses are known for backing down and it must be more than a coincidence that they have meet in the Wastelands of Doom.

Missing Cartographer
The Royal Cartographer is now missing - rumoured to be on a tour of the real world. We have asked the noble Morbio to act in his place and he is currently trying to find the maproom.[/b]

Yikes, what happened to Rhodes? Was he defeated by a rebel army or something?

Rhodes had reached negative national morale so faced a revolt but with 400 points v 500 it was a long shot even though I played the Slave army as just rushing at his lines & only gave them the one leader (inspired Spartacus).

A 2nd player is currently fighting for survival for the same reasons.

Ah, the Gods are fickle....
Perhaps Mount Olympus should be placed on the map grid so the gates of heaven can be stormed in a pre-emptive strike?....

Can an ally send a force to the rescue to prop up their fellow ruler who is on the outs at the moment ;-) ?

Sadly you'd need all of Poland's miners to prop it up

However I'd like to thank Ianiowtep for taking part & perhaps if I read this book of the dead out loud enough he may choose to return at a later date ....... more terrible than ever if you'll forgive the pun.

I feel that I ought to let my neighbours have a bit of a chance to build their cities and replenish their coffers before I plunder... err liberate the oppressed masses. Therefore I've decided to take a holiday and visit foreign lands, I will be taking my army with me, just to carry my bags you understand.

1st stop on my holiday tour will be Englandia, I've heard that the beer is good there 8)
David, the challenge is issued, password is "Englandia". For the record I will be travelling via Kappodokia.

Next stop, will be Rhome, where I believe the wine is particularly fine :)
Maximvs, the challenge is issued, password is "Rhome". For the record I will be travelling via Kappodokia

You may want to update Scar, as the map shows only one invasion. It doesn't show mine, for instance. :D

Send a PM to Scar with the information. He will normally send an acknowledging PM after he's gotten yours.

At the invitation of the Delian Confederation Irish troops are marching east to Mytilene to eject the Kappadokian interloper.

Candles have been lit and offertory processions made in the chapels of Tuam asking for the intercession of St PG the Ajudicator - patron saint of the Lost World.
It is expected he will smile benignly upon his loyal followers of Tuam and bless their intervention in Mytilene.

In the confident expectation of the support of the beatified St PG a challenge is posted to the Kappadokian invaders in Mytilene.

As Egypt's papyrus of friendship was the first signed by Tuam it is a case of noblesse oblige and Tuam invades Englandia.
On the basis that any place called Berkshire is asking for it our Kerns and Gallowglasses descend south and invade that particular benighted province.

Invasion posted password = WatfordGap
Sorry, Berkshire has already been booked for invasion this season by Phanagorian Tours and no vacancies are anticipated. Please select another area to display your displeasure with New Englandia.

Shahanshah of Phanagoria
My apologies to the noble Shahanshah - not wishing to trample upon any Phanagorian slippers the Irish troops of Tuam have changed their destination to Hampshire (rhymes with pants so equally deserving of invasion as Berkshire). The forces of Tuam will therefore teach the shandy drinkers of Englandia a lesson in the delights of whiskey there.
