Division D

Bluefin (Alan) defeats phoyle3290 (Lombard) 55-24.

Straddling opposite sides of a river, the Alan army was able to take advantage on it's right flank and held on just long enough from being overrun on it's left flank. Very interesting game. Thanks for the game phoyle3290 -- look forward to our next encounter!

Side Note: Chose this army not knowing anything about it, just the fact I've never seen anyone select it. Absolute blast to play! Same with the Kappadokians in Classic, although they presented more challenges being a medium foot army. Looking forward to the next season and more unknown armies!

lydianed (Byzantine) defeated Karvon (Germanic Horse + Carpi) 41:9

Good game. Largely a cavalry battle where the Byzantine's quality advantage was decisive.

Division D

Challenge1 (Viking) defeated bomber23 (Moravian) 41-11

Very favourable terrain saw the viking shield wall deployed with woods anchoring the left and a river the right. This basicaly negated the superior cavalry of the Moravians and left them throwing horses at pointy sticks until the horses had had enough.

Thanks for the fight bomber. Your lads fought well despite the clear disadvantage.
