The seasonal Fall phase is over but not the campaign turns - so please carry on with the butchery.
Just to be clear since terms like phases and campain turns are not explicitely defined
Can new invasions be launched or can only current wars be resolved?

Also rules clarification now that cities are evrywhere....

IF I invade , lose 2 battles and obviously withdraw, and my opponent choses to follow me and coninue the war, will my army be able to retreat into one of my cities?

Outraged at the loss of the valuable Plain of Desolation to the Pantherites, the Kappadokian King's Friends have demanded that the territory be made up elsewhere. (Even they are not foolish enough to demand a count-invasion of Pantheria).

King Mithridates apologises for the actions forced on him by his court, but (Yorkist Pretender) Kappadokian armies have been launched against:

1) New Englandia. (Password davidfagnand)

2) The Delian Confederacy (travelling through the territory of our ally Phanagoria). (Password CharlieChap). The Delians have graciously accepted battle in Mytilene. (There will be a lot of scrap metal for sale after this hammerfest).

We will repel the invaders and advance into their lands!!!!

Armenia invades the highlands of Mohawk using their Wars Roses Lancs vs. our elite Medieval Burgundians.

Rome invades the plains of Hampden using their Mid Republican Romans vs. our Pyrrhic phalanx.

Crimea invades our vinyard lands of Pascommuck using their War Roses Lancs vs. our elite Medieval Burgundians.

Our dear neighbor Phanagoria invades the rolling hills of the Berkshires using their Bosporans(mid) and is met by our 3rd troop of elite Medieval Burgundians.
Ah the blood soaked welcome mat of the Lost World has been laid at your feet I see.

Each season starts with a seasonal phase for diplomacy, army maintenance, etc. This is then followed by the campaign turns when you fight the battles and launch new invasions etc.

If a defending player loses a battle he may withdraw into a city irrespective of whether he was previously invading that opponent. However please note that the option for a siege is only there when you first lose a battle in the area.

VICTORY for pantherboy

I'm pleased to annouce that pantherboy has met all the criteria for joining the ranks of the Immortals and will shortly ascend upto the lofty heights of the Golden Crabapple Tree of Immortalilty.

He has kindly offered to finish his fight against the Rhomian mortals before joining the gods.

No further battles are permitted against pantherboy. Once that final battle is concluded all his territories join him in paradise and a new player will take the position of box 17.

Please join me in congratulating patherboy - a noble victor.

The Ranks of the Immortals is being added to the Players Table with Steve as it's first member.

Ok that makes sence, but what about if the attacker loses a battle and "withdraws"? The defender , I thought could now become the agressor and follow (basically invade) Can the former attcker slip into a city? Would he only be able to do so after one defeat?

BTW congrats Pantherboy!

That's a different campaign. A war if two players fighting each other until peace is made. A campaign is a series of battles fought over one area.

Congrats Pantherboy. (Damn, I should have stood siege, maybe he would have been deified before the city fell).

Yes, congratulations Pantherboy. Although I am beginning to wonder if I'm cursed on the alliance front - first Hyperboria and now the Panthers. :( I hope my other loyal allies have no plans for departure or ascension. :)

Deeter Magnus of Utopia, having taken note of the civil unrest in Eupatoria, has decided to relieve this troubled kingdom of some of its unruly citizenry by invading Sambre. Please prepare an appropriate welcoming committee for when the Utopian peacekeeping force arrives. Should there be resistance, a challenge has been posted. Password: peacekeeper.

As Egypt's papyrus of friendship was the first signed by Tuam it is a case of noblesse oblige and Tuam invades Englandia.
On the basis that any place called Berkshire is asking for it our Kerns and Gallowglasses descend south and invade that particular benighted province.

Sorry, Berkshire has already been booked for invasion this season by Phanagorian Tours and no vacancies are anticipated. Please select another area to display your displeasure with New Englandia.

Whilst it seems strange that players from Sweden and Australia should hurl abuse at each other I find it perfectly normal for those north & south of Watford Gap to do so.

A New Player will shortly occupy position 17 - we do have a waiting list you know :?

Country is Courusant using the Ptolemaic Greeks & ruled by will05. Just before you all descend upon him like jackels on an opened tin of spam he is busy consulting his city planner & rialto.

I'll wave the blood soaked checkered flag shortly.

Good luck will05 - was nice knowing you

Second successful defence of the homelands

The Clan has repulsed the effete Egyptian pikers from Glenlivet in a close-fought first battle:

VICTORY Clan (Pergamene) 17,547/50,500 51/54
Egypt (Ptolemaic) 18,562/51,500 47/47

Are the Egyptians going home to their bubble baths and women of uncertain morals and discernment?

Chris posted this easy way of doing it some time ago:

"If you lost 10,000 out of 25,000 initial strength for a 500 point army, you would lose 500* .5 *10,000/25,000 or 100 points, so your new strength would be 400 points."

Please note the multipler of .5 (in bold) is for the winner the losers multiplier would be .80***very very important1
