markleslie Bohemian 1050 - 1154 AD defeats ray552 Berber (Murabit) 1087-1147 AD with Andalusian 1050-1154 AD allies 56-31.
Lovely country for an oil refinery not so much for cavalry nevertheless we persevered and, despite a huge reverse on that bloody great rocky crag in the center, the boys from Prague ground down the Berber left and took the chocolates.
Special mention to the camel general, a right royal pain, and the Berber right flank, who after a long arduous ride touring much of the world did eventually arrive (mostly) in the rear of the Bohemian line just in time for the game to finish.
Salute!

SawyerK leading the Roman 199-106 BC army
defeated
GraftMalt with the Macedonian 320-261 force
by 62-53.
The score indicates the brutality of this battle where the Romans hastates barely outlasted the Macedonian pikes. This was less of a victory and more of a grim death march. My thanks to GraftMalt for a very well led match.

It was extra rare as both generals were Commanders in Chief, so when both died, the screen literally EXPLODED in white words as half the units on the battlefield were clustered within two squares of the combat. It was like a snowstorm of HELD FIRM.
Sadly for me, the one unit of mine that failed the massive cohesion check was one of my key pike units......who then got jumped by two pikes and an elephant. Questar shouldn't sell himself short - his positioning leading up to the decisive melee was excellent. It was only in the chaos of pursuing all my broken units that my light cavalry finally started to earn their keep and snipe exposed units.
