Interesting game with two high ridges and not much room to maneuver or fight openly. The better quality Philistine infantry, with some luck, managed to eventually wear down the other side. GG!

angusosborne (Persian) defeats frederic02 (Samnite) 60-34

Battle was fought very compactly around a moderate sized forest on my left with rough ground in the centre. I held the forest which the Samnites attacked with great force attempting to sweep around the flank with mounted.
My troops from the centre came crashing down upon the side of the attacking Samnites, and redirecting cavalry and hoplites to the left.

The Samnites took the forest, but the Persians won decisively in the centre and right for the win.

All but three games are complete so this table is ordered by points scored, rather than average. keksoid's games have been voided (I wish him well)

Assuming I have everything correct we have a winner: mh5604 with 6 wins and 2 losses. Tremendous result from mh5604 who started as our 8th ranked player. Scoring 57 and 59 points from his two losses essentially gives him the win over Vakarr who also had an excellent record of 6 and 2.

Bagatrix1805 finishes 3rd and cnzmur 4th. The other four positions still undecided.

The Philistines spearheaded and broke the center, but the Neo-Hittites had great success on the flanks. Luckily, the Philistine army stop-gapped as best as they could, and eventually ganged up on units to rout them. GG!

Division B Table

Rafydedel has an impressive lead, but is not mathematically certain of winning yet. Trogdor666 has only played two games, but has won them both. Quite a lot of games still to be reported
