heidipie irish with vikings defeated Rockmanbob vikings 49 to 17 the irish took position on a hill and sent xxx lights to weaken the vikings foot as they advanced on the hill
while on the other flank the viking and french horse found no enemy as the irish all moved to the hill

and half the viking horse hit the irish left
but the other half were stalled by irish spears and kerns coming out of a woods behind them
but the key was the valiant charge of the vikings onto the irish line...turned out they had been too weakened by the javelin men, and the irish turned their left flank and before the viking horse could do major damage, so soon the viking foot was on its way back to its ships

GG i think the French allies had too much red the night before....

I can categorically state this is not the case as I was just about to do it anyway . rexhurley and random27 are closing in on the Captain's total. Close between the rest who have to win matches in hand to chase down the current top 3. I don't have a result for rexhurley vs frederic02, this is the remaining match in rexhurley's campaign.

Lol and thank you. Frederic02 and I are still playing. We have flurries of turns then it stops for a few days then goes again. Currently in the cycle of waiting for Frederic02 to be available again to do his next turn. Its a another tight game with his Impact foot having the better of rng....

In this third attempt alexhstandish (Ghaznavid) beat rockmanbob (Vikings and French) 50:22

The Ghaznavids left their elephants at home and brought all their Dailami and irregular foot, expecting an infantry fight and wary of the elephant spearmen mash up.
The Ghaznavids took a small wood on the Viking right flank and used this as a base to shoot from and then sally out. Meanwhile the Viking spears chased off the Turkish cavalry in the centre.
The Ghaznavids managed to shoot up the French horse and after a titanic struggle, enough spearmen were routed to claim the victory.
A very hard fought battle, well played rockmanbob and thenks for the game.

alexhstandish (Hephalite) beat Morat (Ostrogothic) 64:41

A classic scrap with the Hephalite cavalry shooting up the Ostrogothic lancers, but getting caught in return when skirmishing. But the elephants then took out the lancers.
Meanwhile the Hephalites tried to largely avoid the warbands.
The battle became completely disjointed with numerous scattered fights all over. Eventually the Hephalites managed to kill enough lancers, light foot and some spearmen to secure a very tough victory.
