The heavier Samaritan horse moved quickly and enfiladed the left of the carthagenians horse. The Punic ponies put up a good fight but were overcome by sheer weight of numbers. The Carthage infanty marching left were then caught in a pincer by the quicker Samartian horse and the line was rolled up.

The heavier Samaritan horse waited behind a hill until the light Parthian horse was within misslle range of their small infantry line. Bursting out from behind the hill and adjacent forest the heavier Samaritan cavalry sliced through the light Parthian ponies and almost routed the entire Parthian host. A last minute rally saved the Parthians from a 40-15 defeat. Then the Parthian cataphracts then fell upon the disorganized Samaritans. In a one sided battle of attrition from there, the Parthians were able to make a respectable showing and left a great many of the steppe ponies lying in the dust

The heavier Samaritan horse moved quickly and enfiladed the left crushing the Seleucid horse quickly. The Selecuid infantry were then flanked by Samartian horse and the line was rolled up.

Nijis (Blemmye) defeats Grahamed (Sassanids) 64-43.

Plentiful camels and cavalry were able to overwhelm their higher quality Persian counterparts, while Blemmye infantry for once was able to slug it out with their foot adversaries without giving way.

by 42 to 16.

This featured a long, brutal cavalry battle on the Parthians right flank where the Parthian cataphracts proved decisive. It was only after that was complete that the heavy foot on both sides engaged and once again the cataphracts helped bring home the win. I was fortunate to get to 40 before nightfall in this one.

rexhurley (Skythian) defeats Andersarcos (Syracruse) 60/59 on the very last 0 turn with the very last fragged LC cav unit doing enough to survive and then inflict a couple of casualties against a MC unit at 50% which finally (after a run of horror morale rolls for me) broke for the houdini win.

insane game early to mid running for me then chasing me across the whole map with my remnants battling away to not get pushed off the map in the lower left corner Ander almost pulled off a heroic win.

And I think that's about it for me in classical this season. Thank you to all my opponents and good fortune for you in the future without me. I say farewell to you all.

Only a couple of matches completed since last table, but important ones as the top 3 get closer together. tyronec and klayeckles undefeated after 4 while Stones1985 has points on the board they have to catch up to. Players outside the top 3 have plenty of matches left to improve their positions.

Division B

I know everyone will be thinking 'he's only posting the table because Rex told him to'. I can categorically state this is not the case as I was just about to do it anyway . rexhurley and random27 are closing in on the Captain's total. Close between the rest who have to win matches in hand to chase down the current top 3. I don't have a result for rexhurley vs frederic02, this is the remaining match in rexhurley's campaign.

alexmike1 in the lead, closely followed by principesromanes who has yet to taste defeat. Trogdor666 has won his first two matches. Jorgito78 and keksoid also undefeated.

Division D

mh5064 ends his campaign at the top with a very good total. SawyerK has also finished with an even 4-1-4 record and a healthy 60pt average. rockmanbob123 and Antivirt doing very well also and have a chance to topple mh5064, hscic just a little behind those two.

Nijis (Meroitic) defeats Stones1985 (Elamite), 63-57.

Extremely close game. Each side's left flank crushed their opposing flank, with the Elamites coming off ahead in terms of casualties and routed units. When the victorious flanks wheeled to face each other, however, Elamite chariots in the open struggled against Meroitic forces amid the ditches and embankments of an oasis, while the Nubian foot where able to surround the Elamite's elite guards and mercenaries.

Stones1985 (Moorish with Byzantine allies) drew 0-0 with LuciusSulla Arab (City) 300-633 + Persian 477-590 allies.

Not a game that will live long in the memory. Despite some rerolls the terrain made up of numerous mountains and lakes made the game simply unplayable and a draw was agreed.
