Gaz MM truck with 25mm 72-K AA gun. Note the AT switch will fire backward because of the driver's cabin.
The sides of the platform seemed to be foldable but thus it brought less protection to the crew:

Some VVS aircrafts are on the way!
The one for today is a Lagg-3 series 66 fighter. It is the last variants of this type. It has lighter weight, faster speed, the weapons are reduced to a 23mm gun and a 12.7mm MG. When the Lagg-3 S66 appeared in early 1943, it was still inferior than the German fighters.

The VSS high altitude fighter prototype I-225. It was built in 1944 and got a speed of over 700 km/h. The project got cancelled after WW2.

Today's update: an early post war fighter La-9. Since on the Luftwaffe side we have a bunch of "Luft 46" members. I think some VVS late 1940's are fair enough.

An early VVS jet fighter Su-9. The profile is very like Me-262.

The prototype for today is the Polikarpov TIS MA twin engine heavy fighter/strike aircraft. The project started in 1940 but the first flight was not until late 1944.

It is mostly Me-262 - one airframe built based on actual Messerschmidt blueprints. Not to be confused with later "true" Su-9 developed by Sukhoi and introduced in late 50s.
ps: awesome models as always, Birgeria =)

The last French prototype. SNCASO S.O.8000 fighter. It has several German techs involved, such as the engine is typically the Jumo 213 (same engine of Ta-152), and the armament includes six 20mm MG-151. The prototype shows a very satisfying performance, but the production was cancelled due to the new jet planes.

I started to prepare some Italian aircrafts because some I think need a better icons and there should be more variants under this category. Today I update the Macchi C.202 "Folgore" fighter, regular version, in Mediterranean camo. This one has two 12.7mm MG and two 7.62mm MG.

Macchi C.202 EC. This variant enforced the fire power by replacing the wing 7.7mm MG to the under wing gun pods with 20mm MG 151s.

The first production series of Macchi C.205. They have the same twin 7.7mm and twin 13mm MGs just as the C.202.

Macchi C.205 N2 prototype. It is a modified version of the production type of the C.202, by using a new engine and a longer nose. The prototype shows better performance but this project was cancelled because of the armistice.
