Hand up!
Put me on the list for another game, please.

I don't mind starting another if enough folk were interested.

I'll play a new game too, although it might get a bit confusing with two diplomacy intensive games running with the same players at the same time. Might actually have to play someone other than Carthage, to keep track of it.

Ah, it seems we have decent interest! Makes sense to switch things around for a new game. Let's keep this topic for the current game and I can start a new topic for the new one- Winds of Change (I think Geffalrus is busy with a FOG2 tournament so not active in FOGE atm). As usual, priority will be given to current players.

Yeah we definitely need to switch it up, but all I want is to play carthage. I don't play singleplayer so I haven't gotten my fill yet, I guess I could try a relatively minor nation or Ptolemies or something.

Egypt plays a bit similarly to Carthage although obviously not quite (at least the most similar out of the other major nations).

The game is up! I'll wait for a few people to express interest before selecting a nation.

- The war between Macedonia and Rome ended as suddenly as it started with no casualties except Sparta, which was drastically reduced in size. The Greek nation was only saved through the timely intervention of the Antigonids, Carthage and Egypt who sued for peace on behalf of the beaten Spartans (seems like they went home on their shields).
Thanks for the reporting, 13obo!

A small clarification: Rome never intended to fight Macedonia or any other Greeks. We're not even sure if Macedonia DOWed us or just allied Terentium.

I won't be joining the new game, but is everyone going to be abandoning this one?

The Seleucids and the Lysamachids are now out. As much as i hate to, I think that's a bit much for continuing the game.

Antigonids will stay in, unless the consensus is to start over.

Although playing only a small nation (Iberii) that is growing very slow I like to stay in.

Pity that players of Lysimachids and Seleucids seem to be not reliable. Anyone who joins a MP should keep in mind that other players invest time and like to continue. Situation for Lysimachids might get frustrating quite early as I had to learn in another game (playing Lysimachids in that game left me with only two provinces that are unable to grow and had to become a client state of Sarmatia to survive). But I cannt understand that player of Seleucids bailed out early. He should be aware that aking a main side on leaving early might spoil a game. Anyone who is looking for quick action and quick success is wrong at FoG-Empires.

@ledo: Depending on the first turns Lysimachids might not play an important role. You are right to say Seleucids are important and it changes the game when it is played by AI now. But does it really make the game so uninteresting? Hope you will stay in.

I'm playing in another multiplayer game as ptolemies with an AI Selec and Antig and it's going okay, as long as you aren't too bothered by having the game tied up by turn 100 it seems enjoyable enough.

In addition, it gives a chance for the minor powers to grow and make a dent on the political scene and not have one of the big boys win too early.

Fair points- I'll carry on then since the majority seem keen to continue the struggle. It would be a pity to waste all this managing empire and conducting diplomacy time. Ledo, would you continue as well? You'd be missed!

In the mean time, the other game has been setup so feel free to join if you want. We are still missing a fair number of major powers.

Alright I'll stay in. It's a good test run anyway. My economys finally humming at +300 gold and positive manpower and metal, with a 350 fleet and a twenty stack army, and I'm out of the ageing tier so it was going to be a shame to drop it.
