Here are the stats:
Axis wins: 13
Allied wins: 14
Unknown: 5
(How is that for even?)
Sounds pretty amazing to me, good to see the specifically designed, purpose built MP content still holding up.

Someone asked for an after action report. Here is from the game I played with Padisha:

The allies (me) weighed their options and went for some scouts to take cities fast in the first few rounds. The scouts were able to easily spot enemy movements and seemed like a good choice. Also the few aircraft flew into battle. The city in the most Northeastern part was heavily fortified by the Germans, however the British infantry backed by artillery made slow, but steady progress toward defeating the infantry in the cities by the river.

Meanwhile the Germans (Padisha) marched into several key cities and seemed to plan to build trenches and fortresses as they went, placing artillery solid behind them, and amassing their few grand units (Tiger and Panther). This was spotted by the Allied scouts and a change in plans were made to go part infantry and part heavy on the Germans. So infantry was marched ahead protected by the many bocage hexes on the map and the armor stayed behind to prey on the German tanks when they were the most vulnerable.

The Germans did not take into account that strategy and marched unknowing into a bocage hex with the Tiger tank in the mid Southern part of the map. That was unfortunately the last of the Tiger. It was attacked ferociously by the fierce Allied infantry and attacked by the quick American steel tanks that had good attack, but bad defence. The same destiny unfolded in the East where a Panther tank was attacked by a similar combination of forces.

Meanwhile the Allied had amassed a decent amount of artillery on the West side of the map and went for the dug in infantry and artillery protecting it - and in a few turns (approximately turn 10) the forces were forced to surrender one by one. A few attempts were made to retake the cities, but none were successful.

The last few turns was all about conquering the smaller cities surround the last victory city in the middle Southern part of the map where the last real German forces were preparing for their last fight. Only a few of these survived by withdrawing - the rest either surrendered or was annihilated by the Allied mob of combined forces.

And so the battle ended.

Alberto,  I had to change a couple around as Bombur has abdicated his declared win and named docsh the correct winner of their match up.  (So, I shuffled a couple of match ups around.  ;) )

Now to set that stage:

June 22nd, 1941  Summer Offensive
(Ok so it is a little historically early, sue me.  ;) )

Axis hear:
The time has come to take Britain's last hope of a two front war off the table.  We are about to do something that even the vaunted Napoleon could not do, we are going to invade Russia and win.  We have the momentum and the vast array of the Wehrmacht behind us, now let's smash in the door so the whole rotten structure collapses.

Soviets hear:
Our forward units are sending us reports of German troop movement.  I am sure it is nothing, but just in case send forth our vast reserves forth with a show of force, we will stop any chance of the Germans to seize our native land.  If our German neighbors want to wake up the Russian Bear we will have no problem bearing our claws.

I am so excited about this one, as it is a personal favorite for me, also fits for timing.  I also worked with the developers to test it out in beta phase, and I am very pleased with the results they came up with.  There are some true gems of scenarios in that Soviet Corps, this being one of them.  So I am really hoping for some well matched battles on this one.

Your 2nd Scenario will be Summer Offensive!
The player on the left will issue the challenge and get to choose which side they want to play.
Please put the other player's user name in the description and make the password be:
tournament
This will be a single game, again, so choose whether or not you want to be Axis or Allies.
For this Round we will play with no restrictions, that means undo is on, weather is on, fog of war is on, supply is on, and you can see the player's movement.
(This will change for the 3rd and 4th Rounds, but you will all be considered experts by then.)

You have until Midnight CST July 1st, to report back to me the results, either by posting them on the forum, emailing them to me, or private messaging me.
Any questions or concerns direct them to me.

Here are the pairings for Round 2:
mkoki77 vs. DCK
yoky vs. shilod
thewhitewhale vs. leonidas048

stefandk vs. thorsten
riker vs. kondi754

Here's hoping my first round win wasn't just a fluke and lucky RNG (hint: it was). :D

Just set up my next game against Leonidas042; I'll be sure to save the replay this time for some post-tournament uploading onto youtube. Best of luck in Round 2, everyone.

It should be found when you press the Red Star Icon that opens up the Soviet Corps scenarios
There are only 5 Balanced scenarios to chose from and I believe the top one is Summer Offensive.

Let me know if there still our problems, because I am going off what I was told that people had Soviet Corps when they told me what games they have.

Game is setup. Waiting for Thorsten to accept :-)

I chose Allied side - I can't remember the scenario and I don't want to research it. I'll just deal with the damages as they are dealt!

Greetings, I see that some of the tournament games have the alert:
"This challenge uses a custom or modified scenario."
Shouldn't we be using the stock scenario's to prevent any tampering with them?

They are the stock scenarios, unfortunately since the 1.30 update all multiplayer maps created using the 1.30 update have that disclaimer.

Chesspanzer (Soviet) and I (Axis) got in quite a few turns today and the game ended with a win to me.

Thank you for the match, chesspanzer, and be sure to know that your heavy KV´s really made it challenging.

Picked the wrong side (Allies), I guess. We'll see ...

Thorsten (Axis) and I (Allied) are also underway - picked the weaker side, maybe, and a strong opponent I guess :-) No spoilers as of yet, though.
