BREAKING NEWS
The PDOM mk 2 has run the players algorithm again and is predicting a possible late entry from .................. East Lothian man Rob Pooley. Showing inexplicable and uncanny foresight the PDOM mk 2 reveals a strong possibility of a numbers evening, last minute appearance of the much loved grizzled old competitor at the tilt. Boffins at PDOM mk 2 centre are working in a feverish, flat out frenzy to finalise this augury so standby for updates.

Hunter Hope will field the Salvation Army. Those two handed tambourines are nasty. It also allows Hunter to go around the venue collecting money for good causes such as his Britcon entry!!

New rankings released today confirm we have the 9th and 10th best players in the world at the basho in the rather wargames esque shapes of Rob and Alan. More ominously we have the 13th in the form of the good old Baytown Bucanneer. Lets hope they take it easy on us lowly rankers.

Alan, I think you are most unkind contradicting Hunter every time he says something. I know he is always wrong but still.

I'm getting ready for when I play Hunter. Get into nasty player mode where I query validity of each of his moves. Ofcourse there are those who might say I have no need to get into character.

Nonsense Alan - you won't have a nasty bone in your body ........................ once John is finished with you. And don't think for a minute that there is any added pressure on you top tenners to perform. Or even you wee fivers Paul. I am quite sure it will be a genteel, civilised, laid back and relaxed atmosphere in my part of the pairings. As for the top tables - blood sport most likely. Bring on the runners and riders George - the banter is ready for them ........................................

Alan, I think you demonstrated that side of your character with some waiting staff at Britcon last year!!

Yes Alan, but your brutal treatment of the waiting staff at Britcon was at this weeks Oscars ceremony nominated for most psychotic over reaction to an incident. Sadly you narrowly lost out to the North Korean dictator's execution of his uncle by the use of a large anti aircraft cannon. Now, if only you had brought along the anti aircraft cannon you had left in the boot of your car!!

Well done Hunter your predicometer was almost right.
I will of course be using the Sturgeonicus Slave Revolt army of 16 BR (before referendum). This Scottish army will mean I gain the free upgrade of one of my TC generals 'Salmondicus' to FC
The list will feature Hunter's contingent of thick skinned (armoured) Perth slaves, Hugh's more portly Glaswegians ('protected' by the excess consumption of square sausage) and Alan's horde of returnees from down south (decidedly average). John Munro's followers skirmishing (sniping?) from the sidelines will naturally be the 'poor' troops of the army.
I am sure it will put up a good fight and be remembered for losing both the battle and the war!

Paul, I will of course be delighted to attend your crucifixion party at the end. The highlight will be when all your followers shout in unison. "It's no me - he's Spartacus and can we bags first go at hammering the nails in"
